The jerks who had good jobs didn't care for decades about other people getting the shaft, just blew them off by saying something like those people need to get an education. Now the top feeders need to get an education on how to live off part time McWages. Enjoy the new economy, the global economy and stay tuned for more of the same as one group after another joins in on the fun.

God Bless America, the land of the free and home of the scared.

I guess IBM didn't see a reason to pay for the bloated local cost of living anymore. Shower the schools with money and drive up the cost of taxes and housing with zoning and NIMBY stuff and watch jobs vanish when everyone wants big bucks to pay for the bloated cost of living.

The financially illiterate spoiled drooling ME Generation goobers of America still don't get it. They priced themselves out of jobs.

Maybe we could turn the school gyms into homeless shelters and the school ball fields into homeless campgrounds once there is nobody left with a job to pay property taxes to staff the schools.

CDL Jobs
C.R. England is currently hiring for both experienced and inexperienced CDL truck driver jobs for the following open positions;

No Experience? No Problem. We Train To Hire!
http://www.crengland.com/driverjobs/cdl-jobs

I'm sure high achievers like white collar workers will have no problem finding good jobs with their great work records.

Payroll taxes, property taxes, income taxes, sales taxes, the facts are that IBM and its employees were keeping the area afloat. Two additional companies in the area have already scaled back their operations and with Burlington protesting against the new Guard planes which will result in the base closing, Vermont is headed for tough economic times. Remember Joe, truckers deliver goods for consumption, with less income in the state the need for truck drivers goes away.

'Renew can't salvage business'
http://www.reformer.com/ci_23652349/renew-can...

^so this place was a non-profit and was able to get lots of free donated stuff that it could sell, and of course it got tax credits and it was able to take advantage of free labor in the form of low level criminals working off their Community Service time, AND it had gotten a $1.05 MILLION loan from the USDA (what's agriculture got to do with it?) which they say they might not be able to pay back, and STILL it went bankrupt

WTF?!?

Now if only that G-d Brattleboro 'news' paper the Reformer would go out of business (not that the other one the Bratt Commons is any better, it also pushes the commie libtard que er agenda and sheeple crapola 'news')

"The Vermont Department of Labor says IBM has laid off 419 workers."

The rumor was about 350 and the yuppie drama queens sat on the actual number like it was some sort of big trade secret.

How many more have left the Vermont location over the last 10 years that weren't given a pink slip ?
People get transferred, retire, quit, get fired, if they weren't replaced over the years and labor force cold be down big time.

IBM sure doesn't want anyone to know they are shifting the work to lower cost of living areas and hiring people for half the wages and benefits.
Liberalism sure did wonders for Detroit.
Burlington and Vermont are headed the same way, too man parasites and high cost housing made the state a place to leave and avoid.

I have been diligently saving my money so that I get to be one of those who can leave the state soon. I feel sad for those who need every penny to survive and therefore are trapped. Vermont sure isn't the state that it once was.

Get ready to bleed out Vermont! We have a real pumper with IBM and nothing to clot the artery. Close VT Yankee on top of that and we will be flat lined in five years! This is more than conversation, this is subtraction!
