Maybe the good folks of Battlebro should be concerned about real issues, like our dead in an immoral war, no health care for most of our needy children, and less concerned about what people are wearing.

You know that I think I would rather see naked bodies than dead bodies, what do you think?

As a resident of Vermont I can definetely say that we are concerned about real issues and do deal with them. What can any one due about the dead you certainly can't bring them back. immoral war. no don't think so. Eye for an Eye tooth for a tooth. you wouldn't feel it's immoral if it was one of your own that died. We have plenty of healthcare for our children. Actually ALL our children are with health insurance. and so aren't our adults. We are the first state to leave no person without insurance.
And obviously you haven't paid attention as we again are one of the fewest states that don't care what we wear. so we can walk around nude if we choose. Its your closed minded states that do care. Check your info first before you make accusations.
We are actually the safest state in the country to live in so... Who has the issues? Maybe California but certainly not us here in Vermont.

To Clothesfree--if you read the stories most of the interest comes from elsewhere. I grew up in Bratt and it's a pretty easy going place. Have to say the nudity was a new twist when I was visiting with my kids last summer but most just shrug and say that's Vermont for you. Part of it's charm. Besides it's to make up for the other 11 1/2 months of the year when you are swaddled in winter clothes or rain gear for mud season!!

As for real issues, Vermonters are very intune. Have you not read other stories about the move to impeach Bush, etc.? It's a pretty educated and interested bunch up there.

The closest I've been is a nude beach. Let me put it this way, it wasn't bay watch. Keep your clothes on.

I think it's great that there's a public place where it's ok to undress in comfort. Maybe there should be some places where it's not excepted so as not to upset people who are offended by it, but I do feel it should be natural right of people as long as there's no luid or sexual behavior going on.
I don't know when or who decided that all must wear clothes, obviously we didn't start out this way. It seems that at some point someone forced their beliefs on everyone else.

I agree with sue smith..Freedom rings. I also agree nudity should not be allowed in the center of town, but walking naked down a side street at 10 pm can be refreshing. TRUE nudists dont care what their bodies look like. 99% that cant accept nudity have a body image problem. Workout, eat right, and do healthy things.
