VHAP dies as health insurance;it will no longer be available in 2014. I will not be able to afford insurance on the exchanges. This means that I will be fined. I have two disabilities that prevent me from getting employed but I have not been able to get into the Disability/Medicaid system. My husband earns slightly too much money for me to qualify, but not enough to pay for Health Care on the exchanges. I could qualify for these programs if I divorced, but I don't want a divorce. If I can't pay the fine for not having health insurance, could I be thrown in jail?

We have been happily married for 29 years, and I feel very fortunate that my husband refused to "dump" me when the disabilities came.

"I don't want a divorce"

so you really have no problem besides you don't want to do something, just grow up and game the system like everyone else does and go on with life. All you need to do is some paperwork and get a divorce on paper but do to being an emotional basket case would sooner cry and throw a tantrum, boohoo.

Be happy you have somebody to keep a roof over your head and food on the table. Millions of people don't have it so good and some spoiled old woman is sniviling over next to nothing.

Shumlin also plans to take away your will to live by limiting treatment options. He has an out though -assisted suicide. Treat the middle, castoff those expensive outliers.

Strongly consider not giving birth in VT, cross the border to NY or NH incase your baby isn't perfect and needs extra care to survive!

the illegals sneak into the country and have their anchorbabies and drain the system and cause crime, they even get to have drivers licences and now will soon get amnesty and Americans will all have to share their Social Security and more with much of Mexico
liberals like Shummy and Sanders and Welch etc. have no problem with that

Without VHAP, I can't afford to pay for the expensive medications that enable me to function. I will be in severe pain and bedridden, unable to walk. The state is so broke they don't want to pay for visiting nurses or nursing home care. My husband is aging and can only do so much. It is looking more and more like Shumlin and his buddies just want people like me to commit suicide and get out of the way!

My kids are grown now, but I immensely feel sorry for anyone who is pregnant in Vermont right now. Back when I was having babies, I was covered by my husband's insurance from his job. Now the nation is in a state of depression and many people have to turn to government health programs whether they want to or not. Since Vermont is being very skimpy and doesn't care if people die or not, I highly recommend crossing the border for the sake of that baby.

Joe, I love you but your truly are clueless. Let me clue you in:

Corinthians 13:1-8
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, I gain nothing.

wow I don't get any happy faces.
Does the truth hurt ?

Wal-mart shopping, import car driving, enegy wasting geezers created their own future as they cheered on it's for the children the last 30 something years.

Now their trophy children are begging for part time burger flipping jobs while the poor geezers are begging not to be thrown in the grave while the educators they worshipped and threw money at are retired in a luxury retirement community and when they get old and sick a luxury assited living facility will wait on them hand and foot.

Enjoy the blizzard, the retired professional educators are enjoying watching it on TV from a nice warm place while suckers back up north pay their a/c bill as the dummies back up north freeze their butts off in cold houses because they can't afford to turn up the heat past 62 degree's.

I'm not into myth, forklore and fairy tales. I do simple math. If there are 10 burgers and 10 people and everyone gets one everyone is feed, if some pig takes 2 somebody else gets screwed. It's not something to have an emotional meltdown over, it's just the reality of simple math.

If a couple of people do all the work to create the burgers and everyone gets 1 it's just reality, some people did all the work and others got feed and did no work. All the emotional hystria in the world doesn't change the math. Facts are facts and figures are figures.

Jibberish from double talkers and con artists is for gullible people. Numbers don't lie, 1 plus 1 equals 2. There is no mystery about simple math.

only a heartless moron wouldn't be upset knowing there is so many people suffering because of the actions of a generation of scumbag narcissist yuppies. It is upsetting living in a country full of financially illiterate simpletons who believe in fairy tales like there is a social security trust fund and education worshippers who are nothing more than mindless cult members.

I am a baby Boomer and I don't have trophy children; I tried to teach traditionsl vslues, knowing that a Great Depression could and probably would happen sgain. I only regret that I did not home school my children. The public school system turned out to be s horror. They waste a lot of money unraveling what you try to teach at home. They treat parents as though they are enemies to the system and "turn you in" over the stupidest of things. Some people say that because of the deep recession, parents are not being harassed nearly as much now! I hope that is the case. They probably can't get enough government funding to harass people anymore.

I have nothing against people with serious disabilities getting Medicaid and the other things they need. I'm surprised that Mr. Shumlin, who holds himself up as a model of Angelic Mercy, keeps stripping away services from old and sick people that really need them. These truly vulnerable people were actually better off under Jim Douglas.

Shumlin made it crystal clear that he had no morels as a Vermont Senator. Did voters honestly believe that would change as Governor?

I hope that Shumlin doesn't get another two year term after this! What does it take for people to oprn their eyes?
