"That was the headline splashed all over America’s news media. It turns out that the name actually derives from substituting “God particle” for “goddamn particle,” the original name some scientists had given the elusive particle. But the media adopted the former nomenclature."
Outed as a liar and a fraud again. <yawn>
Oh my god, I said "jesus!"
You are full of it again. Who cares what the atheist scientists call it or how irritated they feel about it being called the "god particle". The phrase "God particle" was coined by Nobel Prize-winning physicist Leon Lederman. The only good reason not to call it the "god particle" is that it is only part of the story even if discovered. You atheists really really hate it when the search for the Higgs boson is called the search for the "god particle" don't you?

Thanks for posting that National Review article. A very good and concise argument why atheists are fools.

Backtrack from what? You need to spend a little time thinking of more clever responses. That one doesn't even make sense. Did you even read the article before you linked it. The one sentence you thought showed something was a joke and not even about what the article was trying to say.

You made the following claim without realizing how the termed was actually coined:

"And it was a subatomic physicist who coined the term "god particle" so apparently not all of them hate it. He probably believes in god too."

I then proceeded to show you as the liar and fraud you really are and now you attempt to deflect the conversation away from your lies and stupidity. Even the National Review thinks you are a liar.

Higgs is the one credited with discovering it and he's an atheist. Lederman called it the 'G- d particle' and according to Higgs had to change the name since the publishers wouldn't allow a book with that. Lederman was raised in a typical orthodox jewish family but there's no indication that he's a strong believer in God.

The NR article linked by IKMTY point out the Fact that BILLION$ have been spent by us on this junk science to find out basically Nothing useful for any good.

Note that it was an idiot savant jew named Einstein who developed the formulas that birthed nukedom, which is poisoning the planet thanks to the meltdowns of General Electric Mark I design nukes like the 3 that melted down in Japan and the one Yet to meltdown in Vernon Vermont.

Another crazed jew and sociopath Robert Oppenheimer built the first nuke bomb and even though he and some of his colleagues thought it might ignite the upper atmosphere of the planet he went ahead and set it off anyway. An evil Freemason named Truman let the rich jews corrupt him, even accepting a big suitcase full of cash from powerful jews to support political zionism, and then he used nukes on Japan visciously murdering tens of thousands of innocent Japanese people. It was a sick and unneccesary brutal act as those 2 cities had no Japanese military might in them but they did have a lot of Christian Japanese people.
Einstein at least did later express remourse for having brought about nukedom, after his efforts helped the New World Order bastards kill so many in Japan.

Nicola Tesla, Albert Einstein, Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, Sir Issac Newton and Mozart are each now thought by experts to have been an autistic 'idiot savant'

But another one just shot a bunch of kids and people in Connecticut

In his early years, Albert Einstein's mother was disturbed by how long it took him to learn how to talk. His elementary school teachers thought that he was a foolish dreamer, and one teacher had even asked him to drop out of his class.
----
If the Public Fool System and 'healthcare' we have today was in place a century ago where young Einstein lived he would have been put on some SSRI drug like Prozac and totally zombied as so many are today.
He could have committed suicide and/or killed others as nearly EVERY mass killer in recent times has been on SSRI meds

What I posted was the truth. The spin is from people who object to the use of the term. Like you. Some phyiscists object to the term because it makes the Higgs boson into more than it is. You object because you are an atheist. Two completely different reasons.

The very existence and order and complexity of the universe supports am argument that there is a god. Just because you can't imagine an intelligence that great doesn't mean that there isn't one. That is why being agnostic is so much more intelligent than being an atheist. Being an atheist requires an act of faith just as much as a belief in god.
The very existence and order and complexity of the universe in no way supports am argument that there is a god.

Just because you can't understand science doesn't mean that it does not have the best explanations for the evidence we do have.

That is why being atheist is so much more intelligent than being an agnostic.

Being an agnostic requires an act of faith just as much as a belief in god while atheism has the intellectual honesty to admit that there is simply no evidence to support the god delusion.

Let's have a science debate. Science continually has it's assumptions and proofs upset. Anyone who thinks that science has or will have all the answers is ignorant. Rmember there are always people like I Know More Than You who practices left wing science.

Being agnostic only requires you to say "I don't know". So how is that an act of faith? On the other hand atheists tell us they "know" the unknowable. That is an act of faith.

Who said science has all the answers? Not me.

I said that science has the best answers because when new evidence comes to light, unlike religious delusions, science adjusts it's answers.

Being agnostic requires you to say, that's probable enough for me to believe even though there is no good evidence for it. It is an act of faith to believe that there might be a god if you have no good evidence to support your claim.

Tell me, are you agnostic about the existence of leprechauns? How about the tooth fairy? Perhaps you like to believe that ghosts might haunt your house, or that bigfoot will be discovered any minute, or that people can move physical objects through telekinesis?

That my friend is just being intellectually dishonest and gullible.

As far as I an atheist can tell, there is no evidence to support any of those ridiculous supernatural claims and to operate as if they are somehow a valid possibility, is just, well, stupid.

And that is the difference between you and me. You like to faithfully "believe" that there might be a god and I understand that there is simply no good evidence to support such a ridiculous claim.
