The commercial featured a terminally ill woman who donated her heart thus ending her life. Is this what we want for Vermont?

Not having watched the Super Bowl, do you have a link to the commercial? I can't seem to find it, even after googling for it and a search on YouTube for "Peter Shumlin" vids uploaded in the last 4 weeks was fruitless.
Thanks in advance.
I don't have it but saw that Shumlin came in on the last seconds of the add....is this sort of thing against VT law?

What law would have been broken? That would depends on the commercial. Since it seems to be missing, how is anyone who didn't see it suppose to answer your question?
if it's not on the Internet it's not true?

Death tourism
Welcome to the Hotel California
Welcome to the state of Shumlum!

There are a lot of tourist dollars to be had for Vermont with death tourism. Rent a room, smoke a little dope, down some pills....cash customers only.

"When you develop a society where some people judge that other people's lives are not worth living, that's the Rubicon," ~disability rights campaigner Kevin Fitzpatrick

If you're disabled, and have decided that you don't want to live, but that the only way to end your life is by starving (which you can still do, though it won't be very pleasant) then it's very, very sad for you. It's sad, and hard, and frustrating, and unfair. But quite a few things in life are sad, and hard, and frustrating, and unfair. And if the law that makes you sad makes most people safer then maybe your sadness, and the sadness of the people who love you, is the price we all have to pay.

SALEM, Ore.-- Oregon senators voted Monday to impose a crackdown on companies that sell so-called "suicide kits," which contain hoods or other items intended to help a person end his or her life.

They unanimously passed a bill proposed in response to the death of a 29-year-old Eugene man, Nick Klonoski, who killed himself using a suicide kit he ordered through the mail from a California company

Oregon is one of just a few states that allow doctors to help terminally ill patients end their lives early in certain circumstances. But lawmakers said companies and individuals who provide suicide kits should be prosecuted because they lack safeguards and take advantage of the vulnerable.

Shumlin got $5000 from a Vermont physician pro assisted suicide group in the form of a campaign contribution. He got $2000 from a pro pot group....What do you expect?

Vermont, with a population of 623,050 people has a suicide rate that is above the national average. Although every year more people die nationally from suicide than from homicide, the difference between the number of suicides and homicides in Vermont is far greater than throughout the nation. In Vermont, suicide deaths outnumber homicide death by more than 6-1. [CDC, National Vital Statistics Reports, Apr. 24, 2008]

During the recently adjourned legislative session, the Vermont Alliance for Ethical Healthcare played a very active role in the defeat of S. 103….We are committed to the enhancement of the already fine hospice and palliative care throughout the state; believing that excellent care at the end of life is far superior to the illusion that physician-assisted suicide results in real “death with dignity.”

It's all about the money. Palliative care costs bucks, and people tend to take time dying off. If you can convince people that they need to "die with dignity", look at the budget savings, and all of young healthy people that it is now easier to cover! Dying people are not only costly, they are in the way. Shumlin has certainly shown what kind of stuff he is made of.

Shumlin is morally bankrupt, but the voters knew that going in. Yes Vermonters are in pain, but not the physical kind.
