West River I 91 Bridge Replacement.

I talked to a construction worker on the project. He found many members broken or hanging on by a thread. Concrete that is supposed to 6 inches thick but now only a inch or two.
His and their worry is the increase traffic on the remaining span…double or more the normal weight. Traffic going both ways and this creates additional stress.
Nobody would be even a bit surprised if the remaining bridge had a collapse accident before the new bridge is built…

Make RT 7 a Super Highway from Norwalk, CT to the Canadian border and it will reduce traffic on I-91 / the bridge; problem solved!

It would be a pretty ride?

You know, if their found many surprised broken members and thin concrete on the side being torn down...the other side would be just as weak.
