A coming documentary on the 1996 TWA Flight 800 disaster offers "solid proof that there was an external detonation," Tom Stalcup, a co-producer of the documentary, told CNN's "New Day" on Wednesday. "Of course everyone knows about the eyewitness statements, but we also have corroborating evidence from the radar data, and the radar data shows (an) asymmetric explosion coming out of that plane -- something that didn't happen in the official theory." The National Transportation Safety Board ruled that the explosion was caused by an electrical short, most likely originating in a fuel gauge line, which found its way into the center wing fuel tank, detonating the lethal fuel vapors there.

Skeptics who have long theorized that TWA Flight 800 was brought down by sinister forces will get a fresh surge of energy when a new documentary attempts to disprove that the 1996 crash was accidental.
The twist: It includes six members of the large accident investigation team who, publicists say, will "break their silence" on the cause of the explosion.
They will petition the National Transportation Safety Board to reopen its investigation some 17 years after the B-747 fell in pieces into the waters off of Long Island, New York.
They include Hank Hughes, who served as a senior accident investigator with the NTSB and helped reconstruct the aircraft following its destruction. Also included, Bob Young, a top TWA investigator who participated in the investigation, and Jim Speer, an accident investigator for the Airline Pilots Association.
"These investigators were not allowed to speak to the public or refute any comments made by their superiors and/or NTSB and FBI officials about their work at the time of the official investigation," a news release announcing the documentary said.

General Partin spoke up in the late 90's about it (see last link below) He designed the very missile that he says hit it, the Continuous Rod Warhead Missile. It's not the same as a regular heat-seeking missile as it doesn't aim for the engine but blows up right next to the plane when its proximity senser sees that it's close to the plane, then the rods fly out accordian style and it only takes one of the many rods to puncture the pressurized cabin to take it down
The NTSB was made to excrete that 'spark in the fuel tank' BS by the military & CIA, and it was the CIA that created the bullsh't cartoon video for the msm 'news' to show which tried to assert that the plane blew up by the spark inside (which NEVER happened to a jet before OR since) and it even insulted our intelligence more by claiming that the missile(s) so many saw streaking upward was the front part of the plane somehow going upward (instead of horizontally) right after blowing up.

-actually they've theorized that it could have been Accidently launched by a Navy ship in the area. There were about 700 eye witnesses to the missile hitting Flight 800 including pilots in the area

These guys wanted to speak out at the time but feared repercussions, but now safely enjoying their retirement pensions they got together and decided to speak out, better late than never I suppose. There's also 'Compartmentalization', whether it's the military or FBI or CIA etc., no one except the very top is privy to all info.
Some on the inside, the Office of Naval Research, said on the day it happened to friends "We missed the drone". They (the Navy) were target practicing and the missile locked on the wrong target-Flight 800 instead of the drone.
Alex Jones says he thinks it was purposely taken down to kill some members of Egypt's military command who were on board.
Also on board was a whole class of students from a school in Penn. who were learning French.
