Iíll bet you the electric inflation prices increases before 2008 overwealms the electric price deflation in the last few years. With fracting, there is nothing but electric price deflation for as far as the eyes can see.

Well, except in NE where those crooked bastards are throttling new nature gas and knocking off grid power capacity for no other reasons than to line their pockets...

It is our California electricity debacle...

I always wanted the nuclear plants to stay open. I wouldn't mind them closing if realistic alternatives had already been developed, but this has not yet happened. We now have to reap the consequences of our choices.

It is crazy operating all these obsolete plants. I rather have a bunch of them replaced by new plants.

At the end of the day, it is a right wing extremist antigovernment ideology that infiltrated the NRC and all these plants that has severely limited the industry.

10% of these crazy people are ruining for all the rest...

Wasn't it Entergy's choice to shut down VY?

What those running ENVY realized was that NRC head Jaczko was right and U.S. nukes ARE certainly all dangerous ticking Dirty Bombs, ESPECIALLY the old GE Mark I's like Vernon's, Especially after 3 of the same lemon-of-a-design* Mark Is went Ka-Blooey over in Japan. They came to the wise realization that it behooves them to cut & run while their past-40 year limit lemon nuke still hasn't went Ka-Blooey, best not to temp fate and keep the beast fired up much longer.
They of course gave everyone their excuse that it was about the costs to run in the competitive energy market economics

*everyone knows about the infamous 'GE Three' whistleblowers right?

Yes it was. Aided by the attacks from the left wing in Vermont. You are so stupid not to know that.

How much longer was VY going to run if not for these "left wing attacks"?

If instead of the left wing attacks the state actually encouraged VY to stay in operation by, perhaps, thanking them and, perhaps, cutting the taxes they paid, they might have stayed in business for the remainder of their license.

They were under extreme pressure, being dragged to court all the time. It costed huge amounts of money, dealing with all the court battles and harrassments. Our hippies will end up regretting what they did, except for the wealthy ones who don't care what their electric bill is.

-what bullsh't, Entergy's real 'harrassments' weren't due to the 'hippies' dummy but to their bottom line and that was mainly their competition from natural gas and the (neccesary) regulations that 'costed' them more than they wished, That was their stated reason, That and the reasons in #7 post which they didn't state is the true answer and ewe'all know it

In real life it can be worth millions of dollars. In politics it can be worth billions.

Entergy already knows. You liberals think the path to success lies through angry insults.
