Ideas to Bolster Power Grid Run Up Against the System’s Many Owners
"Electricity can be made from natural gas almost anywhere, because a superb gas network, built under federal regulation over the last 60 years, will move the gas to wherever it is most convenient to burn it."
The NYT seldom gets it is so wrong. They wrote a article about it. They was a historic crisis on the NE grid this winter…massive increase in electric prices cause by NG bottlenecks. Basically a 40 hour NG work week and no weekends…an immaturely regulated NG pipe transmission market. We got massively insufficient gas pipe transmission capacity in NE.
And the insufficient piping network is going to be jacking up electric prices for the next decade… ever since the winter electric shortage driven by the gas transmission our system this spring and summer has been tragically insecure and more vulnerable to electric bulk and market price spikes. Our electric price have been more expensive because of the threat of not enough NG pipe transmission line.
Does the NYT even read their own articles…

And wind power is nothing but a really expensive blood sucker on the economy of our nation…
