MILTON, Vt.-
The developers of the Georgia Mountain wind project in Milton have been ordered to shell out $20,000 in fines.

Georgia Mountain Community Wind will pay a $10,000 fine and give an additional $10,000 to a private remediation fund for violating its blasting permit, twice failing to notify neighbors of blasting, and also blasting on a state holiday.

The Burlington Free Press reports the Public Safety Board accepted the negotiated settlement, but indicated they may have considered imposing more severe penalties.

They must have had a good laugh at 20 grand fine over lunch and drinks.

"...blasting on a state holiday."
uhm wait a sec, if it's against the law to blast on govt. sanctioned holidays then how come it's OK to blast off all kinds of loud fireworks on Independence Day and the eve of New Years Day?
Besides,'holiday' is from the French meaning Holy Day, so what business does the state OR federal govt. have in declaring any day as Holy?
What the hell happened to the separation of church & state?!?

The main concern is what to do with all those windmills after they get old and used up, I mean they remain deadly for thousands of years until the half lifes of them deplete right?
Besides, the mines where the windmills are mined from are bigtime pollution causing ugly huge holes in the ground!
New research at different universities now proves what Dr. John Gofman's research showed years ago, that even low-level windmills cause cancers
