47% of Americans told Gallup in 2011 that they had at least one gun at home. There are an estimated 270,000,000 privately owned guns in the USA.

The first is data for deaths by guns, which is included in an annual report about deaths of all types during calendar year 2009. The numbers for gun deaths is broken down into several categories:

Suicide: 18,735 deaths
Homicide: 11,493 deaths
Unintentional: 554 deaths
Legal interventions: 333 deaths
Undetermined: 232 deaths

Total: 31,347 deaths

The second data set tracks non-fatal injuries by guns. According to the CDC, there were 73,505 non-fatal firearm injuries in 2010.(We will ignore an additional 13,851 non-fatal injuries from BB or pellet guns.)

Every day, almost 30 people in the United States die in motor vehicle crashes that involve an alcohol-impaired driver. This amounts to one death every 48 minutes.1 The annual cost of alcohol-related crashes totals more than $51 billion.

In 2010, over 1.4 million drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.3 That's one percent of the 112 million self-reported episodes of alcohol-impaired driving ahttp://www.cdc.gov/motorvehic lesafety/impaired_driving/impa ired-drv_factsheet.htmlmong U.S. adults each year.

Oh so, there are a lot of fatalities in the USA, so all human life is insignificant.

You can't say in all the traffic fatalities they have one thing in common, they hate and mistrust the USA... like all the NRA gun owner got in common.

The problem isn't "guns", it's that parents are more worried about their little prodigies being popular than instilling a work ethic. It’s more important to have a smartphone than a job.

How about the businesses all make good jobs for everyone...not just for the so called gifted people. The young have a very high rate of unemplyment...

Most young people are getting hammered by no jobs, insufficient income and not worthy work...

Most can contribute; even those with an IQ of less than 90 can stalk shelves and bag groceries. People used to believe that there was honor in contributing to the best of one’s ability. Now children are taught that it's more important to look good than to be good. Today’s parents are an abject failure! How many K – 6th graders saw an R-rated film in 2012?

The study didn’t ask whether children saw them in theaters, on video, on cable TV or on the Internet, but more than one in three said parents let them watch R-rated movies “sometimes” or “all the time.” Even among kids who said their parents never let them watch such movies, 22.6% had seen at least one. Children with TVs in their bedroom saw more violent movies, and African-American boys were much more likely to have seen them. More than 80% said they had seen Blade, Training Day and the horror spoof Scary Movie.

Theaters admit children under 17 to R-rated movies with an adult. Researchers say ratings must warn explicitly that violent movies “should not be seen by young adolescents.” And they say pediatricians should teach parents about the risks.

A lot of people think that it's more important to please an imaginary god than it is to be rational. To them, the government is a threat until they have managed to install a theocratic dictatorship with their sick, psychotic god acting as the supreme supernatural dictator.

There is no compromise to many of these people and they declare openly that they are willing to die for their bad ideas. They are arming themselves in plain sight, they are a clear and present danger.

Once a person accepts the delusion of a god and everlasting life, they have rejected reason wholesale and are easy victims of destructive fantasies that reinforce those delusions.
