But with the last few days I forced the NHDOT to come back and re-nail all the loose board on both bridges.
That was my intended goal.
The bike goes across the bridge pretty quiet now...no racket with the loose boards.

I used to think all that racket with the loose boards was kind of exciting. But maybe it was getting worse? It's been a couple of years since I used that walkway.

I know, it adds to the excitement of just getting across. The dangerous environment that you always overcome. The whole deal with rusted and corroded hull of a bridge...I cheated death one more time.
But hundreds of people have complained to me with how they canít believe how dangerous these bridges have got...
It is fixed and as quite as a church right now.

As far as the bridge being re-nailed...remember I can't get off my bike. Once in a while I can see a shiney nail...it is not systematically all the boards.
But there is no doubt it is a lot quite...no doubt.
Maybe the boards got swollen around the nails...that is the reason there is no clapping...

I know the difference between 95% certain and 100% certain.
I went back to the bridge on my bike to verify what my senses told me was there last time. Last time I was there the bridge boards were pretty quite...today they were as noisy as they ever were.
100% certainty is seeing three rows of shiny nails all across the whole bridges...95% is when I can only hear and feel the quite of the bridge.
I trusted my senses because I went back and forth twine...I was worried my emotion could over run brain. It was quite, no doubt about it.
So what happened, temperature difference, moisture content or I drove down the middle when I should have drove towards the side?
When I first heard the silent boards...I wanted to get off my bike and get down on my hands and knees to inspect the boards for new nails. I thought they might be smaller new nails embedded in the wood. But I couldnít because of my bail condition.
So the NHDOT didnít re nail the bridge...my bad...
