Time to jump over the cliff

Obama's economy has failed miserably! The House has previously passed needed measures while the Senate refuses to submit anything at all. I think that it is time to jump over that cliff and reap the consequences of Obama's economy! I personally would be sickened by yet another extension of the inevitable (raising the debt ceiling). At least if we jump, mandatory cuts would take place and the financial hemorrhage would be slowed.

manditory cuts could be our last chance to avoid raising the ceiling.

Obomba's economy ?
more like the ME Generation economy has finally fallen apart after decades of imported cars and china-mart products while using energy like it would never run out and cheering on government spending as long as The ME Generation wasn't paying for it.

Now we sit around watching a bunch of spoiled old brats of the ME Generation throw a tantrum in DC.

Evan, it is Obama's cliff and is exactly what was predicted. Obama is the divider in chief and right after the election said he was not going to compromise. Everyone knew, including those who voted for him (and now that I have found out form your letter that you are 14... that vote didn't include you), that the likelihood of reaching a solution was much less than had Romney been elected. In fact it is pretty obvious that if Romney had been elected a compromise solution would have been reached.

So the poster is right. Obama is the leader and if he fails to get it done it will in fact be Obama's cliff. Although I prefer to call it "Obama's Tax" hike on all of us.

Obama will suck every last cent of disposable income out of the taxpayer pockets to fund his welfare and entitlement programs, the result will be a continued downward death spiral of the US economy; wait for it!

On CBS this morning a US Senator was interviewed. The "journalist" asked the senator a question about the senate’s role in avoiding the cliff. The senator was in mid sentence when the "journalist" cut him off and went to the next story. There you have it, that's what’s wrong; everybody’s looking for the next story (election) and nobody's listening.

Chris Stevens who?

I imagine soap opera fans are betting on a Calvary charge at bugle call December 31st...That makes for good TV.

Oh but this is very real; it’s going to take more than thirty minutes of attention span to save the day. Dudley Do-Right is dead, and John Edwards believes he will ride again. God help us all.

Why should Obama compromise? The "fiscal cliff" gives him most of what he wants and the teatards are going to be blamed anyways.

Keep crying though, I enjoy when a bully gets their comeuppance.

Because he will sacrifice the entire country to save face for the party. Does anyone honestly think Obama is going to pull off a Bill Clinton?

People's United: What is the Fiscal Cliff?

http://www.wcax.com/story/20472643/peoples-un...

Too ridicules to contemplate; Vermonters on the last day of 2012 are being educated by WCAX about the cliff. If Vermonters voted without understanding back in November, we should have VT’s Electoral College votes for Obama expunged. That’s right, I just said VT was too stupid to vote!

Evan, I predicted this would happen before the election and you sneered. Now I predict that Obama and the democrats will get the blame. It gives them most of what they wanted by raising taxes to the tune of $500 billion a year and huge defense cuts. Everyone can see that and will have a hard time blaming the republicans. Especially since the under $30k/yr crowd that came out and elected Obama are again disengaged from politics. The democrats will whine incessantly about the cuts to social programs.

As far as who is the bully. It is the divider in chief who is the bully here. The republicans only control the house while Obama controls the senate (de facto) and the white house. It will be very hard for the democrats to make this a republican problem. Especially since the left wing media is going to do an about face and start painting the fiscal cliff as no big deal to protect Obama.

I like raising taxes on everyone since everyone will now see the cost of big government and the hit on their own pocketbooks.

Good job Obama for helping the tea party out.
