There is more to the health effects of GMO foods than what they tell you. It is important that people research info regarding what they eat because they won't tell you on TV.

They won't tell you on the food labels, either. Grow as much as you can, from seeds that state they are not genetically modified. We are already consuming so many chemicals, carcinogens, and antibiotics secondhand through the meats and vegetables we purchase from the supermarkets that we impede our immunities. Buy from local suppliers who do not raise their products commercially. They use fewer chemicals; go organic if you have the option. Watch where the product originates. Other countries do not necessarily adhere to the FDA standards here, such as they are. Do you ever wonder where all the "superbugs" come from? They are drug resistant infections, because commercial farmers add "maintenance" doses of antibiotics to animal feed, which we absorb in consumption of animal products. Look at your milk labels. They should state there are no antibiotics or growth hormones used in the production of the milk. Safest to buy organic milk. There are studies researching the correlation between the use of growth hormones and obesity.
I agree...people could be preventing a lot of costly and devastating diseases if they ate foods free of (or at least lower in) toxins.

Regarding organic milk, everyone...its awesome. Tastes like milk used to taste and even better. Don't knock it until you try it. Cows are naturally designed to eat grass, not corn or grain. Grass-fed cows give healthier and tastier milk and meat.

Believe me, once you taste organic milk, normal milk will taste like swill.
For those who are concerned with cost, think of this way...would you rather be sick and give your money to your doctor, hospital, and drug companies or to an organic farmer and the stores who support them?

I should be clear that organic farms DO feed cows organic compound feed free of animal byproducts, however to be organic cows MUST also be allowed to graze, never be treated with hormones and most drugs (unless necessary because the animal is sick), and be treated humanely.

Most people can't afford to buy "local" because of the cost... It's sad that it is cheaper to truck foods in thousands of miles then sell something grown right here in our own county.
