This is why high speed chases should be done away with.Their are to many lives at stake to chase someone going at these speeds. Its time for new policies on this type of action. These are not the first innocent people killed because of high speed chase.

Mr. Joiner, I am sorry about what you and your daughter are having to deal with. You should realize that Greg King was already driving 100 mph. The danger was already on the road. It is NOT the fault of the police. It is only the fault of the person(and I use that term lightly) that was driving a car 100 mph on that road. Greg King bears all the fault and responsibility.

It wasn't a high speed chase. The car was traveling at 100 MPH before the police officer even turned on his lights or saw him. The police office had to go from a complete stop to 85MPH just to attempt to catch up. If the police officer stayed put and did not pursue the high speed car the accident would have still happened. He did the best he could.

Innocent lives lost because of this low-life idiot in the camaro ... end of story. Officers are supposed to just see a car "fly" by and just say oh well maybe next time I'll get him if he's only doing 87 mph? Give me a break. The cop was not at fault. Scum of the earth probation violator simply lost control. Keep protecting our streets officers of the law ... we need it now more than ever.

This chase ending in a loss of life, yesterdays chase in Augusta ending in a loss of life. For what this one for speeding and a probation violation, the one in Augusta was for an illegal U turn by and license violation. It has to stop.

And if the officer saw this kid speeding as he did, ignored it, because there is NO CHASE POLICY and a mile down the road he struck three kids crossing the road and killed them, you would be screaming the police weren't doing thier jobs..the entire fault of this lays on one person GREG KING and GREG KING only.

Mr. Joiner, I am sorry to hear about your daughters involvement in a serious car accident, but don't blame the police. They are not at fault. Blame the stupid driver of the car that caused the crash. What if the vehicle had your daughter hostage? What then if the police let the vehicle go and your daughter is sexually assaulted and killed, you would blame the police for your daughters death. The fault lies with the perpetrator and his actions.

SOME OF YOU PEOPLE OUR THERE MAKE ME SICK. IF THE POLICE DON'T CHASE A DRUNK AND THE DRUNK KILLS AN INNOCENT FAMILY YOU WANT TO SUE THE POLICE FOR NOT DOING SOMETHING. IF THE POLICE CHASE THE DRUNK AND SOMEONE IS KILLED YOU WANT TO SUE THE POLICE. I WISH I HAD IT IN MY POWER TO STOP POLICE FROM CHASING ANYONE (I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY DID OR WANT TO DO) FOR ONE YEAR AND THEN LET'S TAKE ANOTHER VOTE. THE NEXT THING YOU PEOPLE WILL WANT IS POLICE NOT RETURNING FIRE AT SOMEONE WHO IS SHOOTING AT THEM BECAUSE THE BAD GUY WILL JUST KEEP SHOOTING WILDLY AND SOME INNOCENT PERSON MIGHT GET SHOT. YOU PATHETIC PEOPLE WHO ARE KEPT BY BETTER MEN THAN YOURSELVES ..........

I remember they complained about it because it was called a no chase policy, said it was a restricted chase policy. From what I understand under that policy the offender had to do something so bad before you chased him that it had almost the same requirements as using deadly force. It cut out their chases for a year and the sky did not fall, anarchy did not reign and nobody got killed in a police pursuit.

Mr. Joiner, I truly feel sorrow for your loss. Please focus your blame where it should lie, not at the police, but at the idiot who was driving recklessly, attempting to evade the police, and breaking numerous laws. He is the one who is solely responsible for your daughters death.

I live 2 miles from the area this accident happened. It's not an area where you would normally speed to begin with. But 100 miles an hour? Totally reckless.. I understand the no chase policy but as a mother of a 16 year old..I would want that guy off the road asap. The officer had to be thinking 100 things at once. Who knows how we would react. As the parent, I know I would feel just like Mr. Joiner.

This redneck idiot G.King, learned his lesson, eh? I just HATE that innocent people have to die because of some stupid F***. Sorry for your loss, but it is not the fault of the police. If that was my wife that got killed, so help me God. Anyway, sorry again for your loss, just know your daughter is at peace and G.King is not.

Apparently so. A chase (if the cop ever could have caught up to him) was deserved. Dumbass should have just pulled over like a normal person.
