My lawyer is still in contact with their lawyer. We have received our deposit back, and we should be receiving everything back.

We have gotten our deposit back and the rest is in holding with the credit card company. We hopefully will get that back by the end of the month. I am so glad that we did not pay with cash. Did you call/email Russell Cook? He has been in contact with my lawyer and seems to be helpful.

I did call, but the lady that answered the phone said that if there was anyhing he could do to help me, he would call me back, and i haven't heard from him. I will hire an attorney if there is any money there, but i am not sure there is. I wonder how many people are involved in this, because most comments are from the same people.I wonder if he is still in Branson. He should be in jail, no one should be allowed to get by with this without punishment.

I am sorry that he did not get back with you. Getting an attorney may be the way to go, but I can't tell you. That is when I started seeing some action. Luckily I found someone that felt so bad for me that they are doing it pro bono, but I probably will do something for him when I get all of the money back. I know that there are a lot of people involved in this if you look through the blog, but many don't post to or even know about this blog.I believe he is still in Branson. I don't know how he is able to get away with this. I think it helps that none of us live there.

RB- I, personally have spoken on the phone with NINE families who were scammed by Bristol Falls. My number is listed through a complaint filed with the BBB and Attorney General. People have called me and to date, no one that I have talked with has got anything back - besides Melinda, but only her deposit.

I should be getting all of it back by the end of the month. I will let you know. I am so glad that I put it on a credit card. I think that was my saving grace!

Melinda, i am glad you at least got some of it back, but i don't understand why he has not gotten into some serious trouble over this scam. He and Gail should be prosecuted, or cough up our money, instead of spending our money on their vacations.

People who 'scam' learn to wait it out - justice is an incredibly slow process and the victims sometimes just get tired of waiting and give up figuring they'll never get their money back. All of you that have been scammed need to stick together and don't give up - file complaints or lawsuits - whatever it takes to keep the focus on bad business practices! The scammers count on the victims to give up - they can wait you out (they've done it before, you can bet on that).

Actually Robert Dowlin and Robert Srejma are taking David Storts to court. He is the one who owned the land that the resort was supposed to be built on.

If you have not already, file a complaint with the Missouri Attorney General.

Please please please! Everybody go online and file a complaint with the AG of Missouri. It is the ONLY way you will see something done and shut them down. Dispute charges with your cc company. Follow up with the AG, dont let them get away with it. I have been proactive with this issue and the more, the merrier!

I have filed with the AG and BBB, i just wish i had the names of all the people they scammed. Everyone should do everything they can to make them pay up. At this point, if i don't get any of my money back, i want to know that they are prosecuted. It just makes me sick to know that they might get by with this. I guess i am just too honest to understand this mess.

We have filed our case with AG and done chargeback on all payments. But Monteray financial doesn't get the point that Bristol Falls is pure fraud.

I agree RedDog - I have called Monterey Financial at least 5-10 times - they say that they will be able to get Bristol Falls to call me but I never get a phone call back - looks like I am going to be calling them again today.... have filed our case w/ BBB & AG too!
