Cant be Summerwinds, they hace over 200 units, and 20,000 owners. The facts are not straight.

they were talking about the resort they said they could exchange at - it was listed as having several units in the exchange program, but it didn't.

If you think they don't have upset owners with the same complaints, check out there are tons of Summerwind complaints on the web. And they have been taken to court a lot for misrepresentation.

Every timeshare does, because there are so many people, much like yourself, that are dumb as a bag of hammers and hear what they want to hear. Then they go complain after they get buyer's remorse. This is a highly regulated industry and the Attorney General makes certain there are provisions to get out, within reason. But not after you've used it for several years.

@Hank...How can you call these people "dumb as a bag of hammers" you are pathetic, obviously a timeshare salesman. You know good and well you will lie, mislead and omit the things you tell these people. They are not dumb, they are honest hardworking trusting people, that's why they are easily taken in. Because they can't imagine someone would spend hours with them and lie to their face. Here's another sight for all you people who are going to go on tours this vacation season. It's called Timeshare School, learn what these salespeople are not telling you. And learn how to take the tours and what to say to get out of there quickly and with your gifts.

Never ever ever buy timeshares, they are a complete waste of money,it is a mechanism designed by very clever people to extract money.I have just sold my 2 weeks in Orange Lake for £2500,we paid £25000 ten years ago.The management fees are £1000 a year and in the small print they can increase these every year by as much as 10 %.By my calculation it cost me £32500 over ten years we could have had a damn good holiday every year for over the ten years.NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER BUY A TIMESHARE.
