The Catholic Church is the original Christian denomination; without it there would be no other Christian churches, no Bible, nothing.

The pedophiles scandals, which tragic, are not common to the Catholic church alone. As most should know from the example right across the lake at the children's camp, such terrible events happen in all religions. There are more instances among Protestants than Catholics but because Catholics are all under one umbrella, the stats are lumped together where every other one is an individual "incident".
