Most A&P workers not rehired as Big Y takes over
Big Y has hired more than 500 people to staff seven Connecticut A&Ps that it purchased Monday, but most of the workers at those stores - including in Old Lyme and Mystic - were not rehired, according to former employees and an A&P union president.

Duh, people with value were hired. Part of the reason A & P failed were the people. Why repeat the same mistakes?
