What an ABSOLUTE shame. These miserable animals.(sorry, animals). There wasn't any type of security?

Inspired by fiction? There's a popular novel out recently entitled "An Arsonist's Guide to Author's Homes in New England" where a number of homes are set ablaze....wonder if there's any connection.

Adults or Minors, Aged or Underage makes no difference all should be rounded up and made to repair, replace and perform public service until full restitution has been made.

I am deeply saddened by this news. I visited the Frost home this summer and it truly was a beautiful place with a beautiful energy. Hearing this news makes me ponder why people are so mean and thoughtless. Important historical artifacts were destroyed that can never be replaced.

I hope that they find the morons that did this and make them pay, monetarily and through many hours of community service. Sad when we lose a piece of history. But I guess whomever did this feels that they are the center of the universe and nobody and nothing else matters.

Round them up. Have them or their parents make full restitution. Then fine them a sum 3 times the cost of restitution. Put all of them in jail/detention for 30 days. Any members who were adults, a full year. Finally, each and everyone should be assigned 1000 hours of public service work to include talking to highschool students about what jerks they were.
Some things are irreplaceable. To preserve them and keep them safe we must come down on the destroyers with a heavy hand.
And why didn't the foundation have an alarm system? That is gross negligence.

What is the matter with these kids?
Why is there this constant need to destroy things?

Wow, that's interesting....read the synopsis and they mention Robert Frost's house. I doubt the geniuses who did this read the book, but it's quite a coincidence. It's very sad, but I can't imagine why there was no security system in place that would have had these lowlifes out of there in a few minutes. I don't care if they're underage- this was a stupid, stupid thing to do, a very intentional thing to do and they should be charged as adults.

Something tells me the parents who raised these "people" who start making excuses for them as soon as they're determined.

Well, well, well... Another fine example of how nothing good comes from alcohol and another perfect reason for why it should be illegal in this country. People are too stupid and irresponsible to know how to properly drink, not to mention the fact that they were minors. Who do these little punks think they are? Someone should vomit in their house and burn their furniture and leave empty plastic weed baggies on their floor. Teach these little scumbags a lesson!

I hope they find all these kids and make examples of them. Ruin their lives forever by sending them to jail and putting a black mark on their records for all future employers to see so they can never get a job better than waiting tables. They should also be forced to clean up and pay for the damages.
And the Parents should also be made examples of. Poor parenting

People like this make little or no contribution to the gene pool or culture of humans, Their behaviour undoubtly inherited from their parents.
I hope the police catch the Neanderthals..

I say put the pictures and names of the kids and their parents all over the front page! While the things ruined can never be replaced, make the parents cough up loads of cash as a donation. hit 'em in the wallet, where it really hurts. Then make them take their kids home and keep 'em there.

That's like saying cars should be illegal since some people get into accidents.

Throw the book at them and let them wish that this was a road to not have been taken. There's really no excuse for this, and their parents should be held responsible, too!

They destroyed the furnishings and items in the house because they were cold! There was not a vandal intent in their rampage, just trying to stay warm in the party! If the state would have provided the place with heat , there would only have been vomit and some trash around! Please heat these places so they can be comfortable! And what about the "caretaker" where was he during the party? Do they pay him to watchover the historic structure? At least put a burgular alarm in the house! 50 of these neanderthals and nobody noticed?

I am alway fascinated by people who make completly idiotic comparision. Accidents and doing something intentional are completely different. Mikki wrote: <quoted text> I'm always fascinated by these arguments. That's like saying cars should be illegal since some people get into accidents.

No doubt, the parents are not appalled by their offspring's behavior. They usually aren't. "Just a little fun!" Probably bought them the booze. Kids will be kids, you know.

Fine the parents of the vandals for all the damage. When the message gets out that kids parents will bear the financial responsibility for the kids actions, you can bet they will think twice. Make it a local law, that the parents will fined or jailed if they cannot pay, and their property or assets will be seized, regardless of their financial situation. Get tough on criminals, and the crimes will stop.
