Sen. Mike Gunn Arrested

Mike Gunn was arrested last night after he killed 6 baby geese by putting them in his bar-b-q grill and turning on the gas. Miss Dept of Wildlife officials and Reservoir patrol officers responded to his Bridgepoint home after neighbors reported witnessing it. The poor mother goose was chasing him around the yard.

2) He did not kill the goslings, and he definitely did not gas them to death

What a sick, sick person. The method of killing them shows that he is sadistic. Hiding from the police and letting his wife try to take the heat shows that he's a coward as well.

Well, John is wrong. Because he did kill the geese. The police report says that the neighbor saw him go remove the goslings from their habitat and place them in the gas grill and turn on the gas. When that didn't kill them, he beat them, with several adult geese attacking him, trying to save the baby geese. He then put the mangled geese in a container and put it in a fenced-in area with his dog.

That isn't even the half of it. So the police and wildlife agents come, and this guy sends his wife to the door to deal with them. Eventually she lets them in (after over an hour) and they find him cowering upstairs in a walk-in closet.

THEN he presents an expired driver's license from the time when he was a Mississippi state senator so that the police would see who he was and back off.

Mike Gunn is a piece of trash and has been since he was a Senator. He thinks he is above reproach and creative in his stupid answers. they should have put him away with the other deadbeats in prison.

If all of u knew how many danm geese there are around the res, u would know what a nusiance they are. I used to work for the res and the res head honcho encouraged people to run over the geese at every chance. The geese crap all over everything, bite children, and pets,and chase the elderly when walking the paths. All u bleeding heart animal rights freaks should have a large flight of blackbirds fly over u and take a dump on your heads and then u would understand what former Sen. Gunn has had to deal with. All of this was no more than a few political hacks senator Gunn flushed out the woodwork when he was Senator. The only mistake he made was not using a shotgun, but then he probably didn't have any steel shot....

What is most appalling here is the fact that only 12 people appear to care – at least that we can see here. Is there not another site where we can demand justice? I feel compassionately sorry for any human being who is capable of doing this sort of thing. Moreover, one must feel afraid for his/her offspring who, no doubt, become not only immune, but defensive. Where is the outrage? Is there another episode of “American Idol” on the idiot box that so distracts us? Does this pierce your heart and conscience? That is the good news. Get up and say something.

Mark Henry-you obviosly have serious issues and should seek help. I sincerely hope that you are not condoning violence towards all animals who are considered a nusiance-My neighbor's dogs bark at all times of day and night, they do roam to our home to terrorize the cat and we have countless deer all around us who eat our shrubs,etc. My husband I have never thought-hey-lets cook these bad boys up on the grill. And do you really believe that Mike Gunn was taking a stand for the children and the elderly when he took the babies from their nest and killed them? What, now he's some kind of martar? In my opinion, people like you and the former senator are a huge nusiance-what should us bleeding hearts do about you?

Here is how my great state of Mississippi handled the Mike Gunn situation. Because the federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act (under which he was charged) was too broad to challenge-Mr. Gunn plead guilty and his punishment was a slap on the wrist.$5,000 fine, 1 year of probation and 80 hours of community service. I had a really interesting email chat with Mike Gunn's lawyer. I don't know what Gunn and his ilk are really up to, but folks: there's no such thing as a middle-aged first-time offender... Just a middle-aged guy who gets caught for the first time. What Mike Gunn did was a crime. He knew it was a crime. It was a cruel and unnatural crime. He hid in a closet for heaven's sake, and then tried to BLAME IT ON THE DOG. Let's not forget Gunn's involvement in the CoCC and David Duke's campaign, ok? Let's remember that this man is a stranger to all of us. We do not know him. Personally, I think he's a creepy-looking dweeb. It's a darn shame MS has no felony cruelty laws; but then, y'all should know who lobbies against such laws, and y'all should know who contributed money to Gunn's pathetic campaign. The guy broke a Federal law. He is not a good person; if he were, he would've appologized instead of chanting diseased poems. Yuk. What a creep.
