As an athiest will I get a plate that says "I Don't Believe", or is it too hard to believe that all citizens are not sheep?

oh please, fake phony christians need a vanity plate.
if you want to be obnoxious about your miss placed faith, buy a plate and have it air brushed. the flea markets are full of these plates. it goes on the front of the car. christians are all over the flea markets on sunday mornings anyway. i want a plate with jesus upside down in a glass of piss. |

And thus it begins...if we have a plate for one religious group then we will need plates for all religious groups (or non-religious as some cases may be). Why can't we just stick to friggin bumper stickers to promote our faith or lack thereof? Why a government issued tag?
If you want to donte $25 a year then do it on your own time to an organization that you see fit. Keep it out of the Government. Freedom of speech violated my ass....go print the same thing on a shirt....sell if for $30 a pop and give that to the charity or wherever it's going to. |

These plates are getting ridiculous. There must be 200 different tags in FL. Enough already.

Oh can we get a plate with a pentacle and a star of david and a cross all together?

All I can say is come judgement day, I want Jesus to see my bichin' religious license plate.

As a Christian, I think I see the problem: too many Christians claim to be doing these things for God but they don't realize they are serving another master -
* slapping on bumper stickers that offend others, * demanding "Christian" license plates, * standing on the street corners telling passers-by they are going to Hell. I don't think Jesus wants his followers to behave like this. You radical Christians say "He drove the money changers from the temple" but He was Christ - and you ain't! It's unfortunate how Christians are perceived by others. The truth is that Satan is the father of contention. We can be in the world but not of it by using kind words, friendly persuasion and accurate facts to state our beliefs and, remember, all are free to choose. If we believe we will live forever, the only valid question is - where? Know this: that every soul is free To choose his way and what he'll be. And this eternal truth is given - That God will force no man to heaven. |
i think way to many people will live forever in the tag agency while waiting for the clerk to find the correct vanity plate for everyone. |

A "plain vanilla" Florida plate will do me just fine, thank you, ma'am. No sense giving the gummint more money than you have to. After the Challenger space shuttle explosion, I paid $72 for a Challenger license plate, thinking the extra $35 would go to the charity fund. I found out later that $2 went to the charity and the gummint got the extra $33!!! |

As a US citizen you should be allowed to have any license plate you wish. However, I am sorry to hear you don't believe in God, because He does love you!! |

I must agree with you. I am a Christian and I would love to have a personalized plate with something scriptural. However, there are too many varieties of plates from which to choose already and one more would add to the confusion. |

You are so correct, in your statement "God will force no man to heaven". While that is somewhat sad, it is so true. God leads us, He doesn't force us to anything. When someone is forcing their beliefs on you, be careful! God bless! |
you can have all thepersonalized plates you want, one for everyday in the month if you like. you can buy personalized plates at any flea market. they will put whatever you want on the plate. the plate goes on the front of the car. the plate on the back of the car should only be for state purposes. there should be no such thing as a personalized plate issued by the state. this is only another gimmic for the state to raise money. |

Why are the religous so desperate that others believe with them? Do they get a better cloud upon which to reside if they convert others into the same self deception?
Liscense plates are for the sole purpose of identification, and not of ego inflation. Actions speak louder than words. We are living in a bumper sticker mentality society wherein instead of having a dialogue with our fellow citizens we are subliminally shouting at them. 'Hey, look at me - I'm a good person because I'm religious'. Saying I'm not going to hurt you because I won't get my treat after I die is not a very convincing philosophy. Religion is archaic supernatural mysticims which post dates the philosophy of the ancient Greeks et.al. Religion is evil because it demands your willingness to subvert your own capacity to reason. Christopher Hitchens in his latest book; god is not Great, How religion poisons everything - systematically outlines how those who claim to be good under the banner of religon have been responsible throughout history for the greatest carnage. |

I don't know about other Christians but I don't WANT Christian license plates, nor do I try to push my beliefs on others. Some things I do naturally initiate curiosity and conversation and I feel obligated to share my beliefs, but I will not, as the New Testament states, "cast my pearls before swine". Believe it or don't, your choice. But don't ever say you weren't warned. "I can swear there ain't no heaven but I pray there ain't no Hell." --David Clayton Thomas |

A license plate is issued by the state (government) for a specific purpose. By having any message on a license plate is the government endorsing that message, period. Educate yourself first before answering any question immediately.
