Truth, liberals love to hate.
Liberals have been dying to reinstate the so-called "assault weapons" ban, but they haven't been able to for political reasons.(For more information on this, see the 1994 congressional elections.)
A typically idiotic Democratic scheme, the "assault weapons" ban prohibited the sale of semiautomatics that are operationally indistinguishable from deer rifles, but which looked scary to liberal women.
First, the Democrats tried lying about how American guns were being found in the hands of Mexican drug dealers -- while demanding a renewal of the assault weapons ban.
Obama had barely unpacked at the White House, when he and high-level administration officials and Senate Democrats -- Holder, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, Sen. Chuck Schumer -- started railing about how our lax gun control laws were putting guns in the hands of Mexican drug cartels.
In 2010, even Mexico's President Felipe Calderon demanded that the U.S. reinstate the assault weapons ban -- on the grounds that Mexican drug violence was directly linked to the law's repeal.
The claim was preposterous for many reasons, including the fact that the type and quantity of armaments being used by Mexican drug cartels can be obtained only from places such as North Korea, China, Russia, Venezuela and Guatemala.
The notion that most guns used by Mexican drug gangs came from the U.S. was a lie -- exposed on about 1 million gun blogs. So, then the Obama administration did exactly what Democrats had been falsely accusing American gun sellers of doing: They put American guns in the hands of Mexican drug cartels.
The only explanation for Fast and Furious is that it was a program to prop up a losing gun control argument. The Waco and Ruby Ridge raids were monstrous, but they at least made sense as simple screw-ups:(1) ATF's budget was about to be cut and it needed some showy raids; and (2) law enforcement officials detest private gun ownership on principle.
There is no conceivable law enforcement objective to giving Mexican drug dealers thousands of untrackable guns. It's not even fun for the agents, like an armed raid on a private home. If there's some other explanation, Holder isn't telling.
Republicans refuse to state this clearly because they can't prove it. Instead, they just keep chattering about the documents that haven't been turned over and subpoenas that haven't been answered.
Did Democrats wait for a smoking gun to accuse Karl Rove of treason for revealing Valerie Plame's identity as a CIA agent? It turned out Rove didn't reveal it, and it wouldn't have been a crime if he had.
Did they wait for proof to accuse Sen. John McCain of committing adultery? They had none, and yet that story ran on the front page of The New York Times.
Did they have any evidence before accusing the entire Republican House leadership of complicity in Mark Foley's creepy emails to young male interns? See if you can guess. Take all the time you need. Feel free to call one of your "lifelines" if necessary.
Liberals just make wild-eyed accusations and demand Republicans prove themselves innocent.(Say, whatever happened to Karl Rove's trial for treason for outing Valerie Plame? Can somebody call Lawrence O'Donnell and check on that?)

Insurance companies have lawyers on staff. They do not have to go out and hire.
Premiums go up as the cost of medical care goes up,and on this Medical Care package, adding 30 million uninsured to the rolls including the illegals. If insurance is to cover the bills, and the bills are higher, forget the idea that insurance will go down in price. It is not practicable to treat medical problems, other than emergency care, and then the patient be sent to their own personal medical Dr.It is not something any of us like to think of,but every one does need to either have money or be able to have medical care. The care costs money,so,where does it come from?Putting the cost on the backs of tax payers is not the solution that is fair.Putting the problem on the backs of the person able to pay for their own,is not fair. So,just what is fair?Obama Care is not fair!!!It just makes for more problems and will wind up costing the workers greater ,as they have to pay for the non workers. The indigent and the poor will always be with us,so says the Bible. But they are the only ones that should be given medical care at the "others" expense.

....do you really think, that i, as a business man, is going to hire, expand, increase anything, if my cost keep going up? why should i? they way to createate jobs in a recession/depression, is incentives. no more regulations!!

You're quite the healthcare expert ain't ya moron -- don't you just love the GOPer plan "Don't get sick"! Why is it that you mindless idiots can't understand the simple premise: the more uninsured the bigger the cost to the Gov't. The sick going to the ER comes at a tremendous cost to the tax payer, the cost grows and so do the waiting lines as more people lose their health insurance!
#43611 Jul 12, 2012
The whole GOPer idea that there are some magic beings called the “Job Creators” is complete bunk and nothing more than a (tiresome) talking point. Anyone who has ever run a business, as owner or manager, knows that hiring employees is very expensive and is done as a last resort when the demand for your product or service is pushing productivity to a tipping point. A business only grows with increased demand and you, as the manager, care very little about taxes or uncertainty, once that demand is there you jump on the opportunity, after all, that’s why you started the business!
#43612 Jul 12, 2012
And this, of course, explains the financial crisis as well as the recession it's all about guns and Karl Rove.
You know, if it was not for your cranium you would have carry a pound of dog shit in a plastic bag - friggen lunatic!
#43613 Jul 12, 2012
Hey frankie/wtf, why don't you share your knowledge of the gun law (restrictions) Mayor Daily forced on the people in Chicago just before he retired because he was pissed that the High Courts ruled against his big gun restriction plan to force on the citizens. Tell us what you know about that. lol It has to start somewhere and Daily started it, the democrat politicians INCLUDING OBAMA, support his cause. Obama is hoping to win the election (thank GOD he is wrong about that too!)and that ole can of worms will bust wide open on guns and freedoms and so much more! Americans will not let that happen to our country. Obama is outta here and will be forgotten faster than he ever gained notoriety in the first place.

If Republicans take over the White House and Senate, yesterday's health care repeal vote by House Republicans won't be a farce.
They'll be unstoppable. They'll tear apart Obamacare and every piece of President Obama's agenda.
Mitt Romney just outraised President Obama for the second straight month, and progressive Senate candidates are being outspent 3-to-1. If we don't act today -- not tomorrow -- we let them win in November.

Far from being an expert, did spend a lot of time there as the years rolled by.Have very little knowledge of Obama`s Health Care, same as Congrss when they passed it.Obama lied.We have lost our policies already.
Now you have made a turn in your thinking, haven`t you!!?Exactly the point. When you have to pay for the neighbors in the next city going to the Dr.or the ER,and they will not buy the coverage you have worked hard for and paid out of your pocket for, and yet YOU want them to get treatment at YOUR expense, does that make sense to you?
Yes,I am from the old school, work hard ,do the best you can,if successful, great, only a few make it big.But most of us have worked hard, paid for our own care, made arrangements for the future, and while willing and able to help the indegent and the poor,(we all have hard times)want to be of help to the deserving,we do not want to be suckers and pay the price for the ones that will not work,do not try, illegals, and frauds.Do you relly want to?
No more Obama!! And not one word calling anyone bad names in this post.

I read an article on the MSN homepage about a Mayor in Scranton Pa that said he has cut city workers back to minimum wage to keep the city from going bankrupt. I kept reading and reading hoping the reporter would identify which party the Mayor belonged to but he never did mention that fun fact. I went to a few other sites which also reported the story and they never mentioned what political party the Mayor belonged to! Then I read an article on the same page about Mitch McConnell and every other sentence reminded the readers that Mitch McConnell was a republican. The lame mainstream media..."E" for effort! lol Their motto must be "attempt to fool the dumb ass masses any way you can". Just like Obama told Pelosi...get my healthcare legacy passed anyway you can!

Answer another question,O-progressive one.If you add 30 million onto the insurance companies ,someone must pay them, for they operate as capitalists and must make a profit or we stock holders will close them.If the poor can not afford insurance,or,won`t buy it now,who pays for it?If the poor ,and won`t work now ,have no money, how will they buy the enforced purchase of insurance? How will they pay for the tax(fine) at the tax time if they have no money?Does the gov`t(and this is us) just pay til-- like the California City,go bankrupt?Come down out of the clouds and tell us ,o-mighty one--where does the money come from?

You do what you always do,charge the wealthy.
But you call it something different so you can still blame Republicans for destroying the middle class.

And a terrible Liar...
#43623 Jul 12, 2012
Uncle Tab, perhaps it will assuage your anger if you simply think of the lives ended by "assault weapons" as "really late term abortions"
Firearms (all kinds) like any tool, have many uses. Primarily, they are used as tools of self-defense, from someone threatening you or your loved ones lives-whether the threat is an individual, or the government.
#43624 Jul 12, 2012
Actually, one of the largest factors in increasing health care costs is the lack of tort reform. Instituting "loser pay" reform for lawsuits would drop health care costs over night.
Allowing competition across state lines...removing GOVERNMENT regulations such as requiring insurance companies to cover things like invitro-fertilization or accupuncture would allow me to save $ on my premiums by removing the "risk" of those costs from my plan...allowing individuals to pay for insurance with PRE-tax dollars (like businesses do), and give vouchers to those who need financial assistance, which would force insurance to compete on benefits and price to obtain their business....that's just a few off the top of my head.
Oh, that's true. Where we differ is on the solution to actually solving the problem. The number one thing to helping the uninsured? Getting the economy growing and providing opportunities for our countrymen to obtain JOBS that have benefits...not the TEMP jobs Obama's creating that come with no benefits.
(please see above for other helpful ways of the uninsured having access to insurance and health care)
Well, you've at least properly identified the problem. That's a step in the right direction. Obamacare isn't the solution. In fact, it's going to expand upon the problem.
#43625 Jul 12, 2012
Again, it's amazing how you can identify something so clearly....but then you just miss the important part of it by a mile...
Actually, taxes and other uncertainty (such as how implementing Obamacare will affect my costs, or the income and discretionary spending of my customers will effect demand for my product/service) is a HUGE factor in whether a business owner decides to RISK more of his money to expand his business, whether with hiring or other capital expenditures (such as building a larger facility)
How can I hire an employee if I don't even know what that employee will costs me? So what if hiring that employee will produce $40,000 worth of product if the costs of that employee is $40,000 or more? It's not worth hiring them.
Not to mention the uncertainty surrounding all the government regulations is one of the largest factors in the decisions businesses make.
