I have never had the pleasure of riding a motorcycle. I didn't get around to it when my health would have allowed me to do it. However, I have seen, in my two and a half decades as a RN, many a serious brain injury. Not all, by any means from motorcycles, but in any case, every time I see one driving without a helmut, I cannot help but picture all of those poor, helpless souls, who were now in vegetative states, because of a brain injury.

Yes, all drivers, be careful. I, for one, if my driving took a life, I doubt I could live with myself.

But please, motorcycle riders, consider a helmut, for your sake, and the sake of those who love you.

This Was My Cousin Pharez Adams that Was Killed. And FYI The report says that he would have lived, If one of those drivers had not ran Him over, and Drove off. THis was not a death caused by accident, The person murdered my cousin. I pray God has mercy on them.

Was it two viechles and one motorcycle? or One viechle and one Motorcycle?

And why is this viechle not mentioned along witht he name of the driver?

For correction: The driver did have a helmet, and it was found in the area surrounding the accident.
"No Driver is to Leave any scence of any accident"
This is Law.
Why was it not upheld?

This man would be alive, if he was not murdered. Channel 19 News needs to investigate and correct this story.

Stating that The Mr. Adams had "no Helment" is not truth, and is Defamation of Character.

This is directed to the drivers: There are high beams and low beams, You should have seen Him in the road, with enough prior time to break, therefore that is murder.
So I leave this on your consience, and your god.

Murder? The story says the bike over-corrected and went into the other lane. So how do you call this murder? Evin if another vehicle did hit him and drive away it wouldn't have happened if the bike hadn't lost control. You people are crazy as he!!.

Whether he had on a helmet or not...Pharez is NO LONGER here with us so we that remain need to go with our lives. The media is doing there job...and we dont like NOBODY coming on our job telling us we're wrong. correct? NONE od us were there at the scene, ONLY those involved and GOD know. This was his SECOND accident, obviously he STILL hadnt learned. My sympathy to the family!

I do not talk on the cellphone when I drive, I just text message. You have been REPORTED! I have 5 names and counting.
TEXT? Thats even worse that talking while driving. Taking takes your brain away from what you are doing...texting takes brain, eyes, and hand(s)! I really hope you were joking!

All riders need to remember this...

In a car, the paint surrounds us. On a bike, we surround the paint!

Helmets by CHOICE is my vote, and I'm willing to pay the extra premium for my choice. THERE IS A REASON FOR LOUD PIPES and riding courses.

Peace be with the family

will you be at the ABATE RALLY may 6???
I'm gonna try my best... not sure yet. I hope the rally has a good turnout...ABATE needs all the support it can get, as do the rights of riders.

All I can say is that he died doing something he loved and regardless that this was his second accident that happened 2 years and 3 days from the last accident I will always remember him as a loving, full of joy and always in good spirits person who will truly be missed. And for the record he was wearing a Silver helmet when he left Columbia at about 9:20pm
