If they are going to random test warehouse workers, WHY are they not testing the people that are teaching our children??

Charly that is a great point. I believe the answer is the great ol' teacher's union.

I've known a lot of teachers over my 30 years in Norman, OK, and many, many of them smoke pot, do other drugs for recreation, and sell some, too. Strong unions. There were guidelines about working in bars as second jobs, but no drug testing. Does that make sense?

This is a very wide spread problem but what really shocks me is the fact that everyone arond town always seems to know this kind of activity is taking place in schools, police department etc. but nothing is done about the problem until the public becomes aware of it & they are forced to take action to save face.

The bamboozle has captured us. It is simply too painful to acknowledge -- even to ourselves -- that we've been so credulous." - Carl Sagan

Maybe if he was actually paid a fair wage he wouldn't have to resort to selling drugs on the street! Teachers should be paid more... this is what you get for paying teachers less than what they should make. America's education 'donut hole' is a direct result of teachers getting paid sh*t wages.

I don't think that low pay is an excuse for breaking the law. Many people who work just as hard as teachers make much less & work 12 months a year. If you choose the job you choose the pay.
