Somehow I don't think we're getting the whole story here.

There I was, sittin on my barstool mindin my own business when this redneck dress in plaid, all Paul Bunyun, busts me up side my head....And called me that bad word...yeah, that's it, he called me the N-word.

Bar? No fights there?
Booze? nothing stupid could be said right?
Had it coming? maybe?

Lesson to all, white or black, shut up...when you're drinkin.

Who called the church anyways?

Wow some closest racist in here already. The internet has paved the way to the ignorant cowards who can say whatever they want without repercussion. I doubt you would ever speak this way in public or at work. Pathetic Cowards like you are the ones who deserve a beating.

I don't want to diminish at all what happened, but this was a barroom brawl.. it could be that alcohol was a bigger contributing factor here.

If some would stop calling the race card all the time maybe it would go away.

Can you hear that sound? It's the ticking of an expiring comment box for this story that is low on detail, insights, or value, but placed prominently upon the Pioneer Press web page because they know its headline will produce a high number of clicks.

If you listen carefully, you can hear the groan of disappointment that will accompany those who click on the article but can no longer comment due to the racist spewing that takes place here. You've done us proud here Pioneer Press- way to sink to the lowest denominator to secure ad revenue.

When people call me a "racist" I say thank you. Being a white male I am the only spicies that can be called "racist", all the rest are "protected classes".

"White male" is not your "species." Gender and ethnicity are not the same as species.

Similarly, when people call you an "idiot," they are describing your career choice.

If a white man got his butt kicked at a bar on Lake st. and Chicago ave, would there be a class on tolerance for black people?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........ . I don't think so.
The only thing said is that a white guy shouldn't have been drinking in that neighborhood.
Just because people have the right to go and be where ever they want, doesn't mean you're using your best judgment going there.
Sad? Yes.
True? Yes.

I'll bet when people call you "minority" or "protected" class they are "right On, bro"

So why don't they do the same thing on Lake street, University, the east side, Brooklyn park, etc, etc? Is it because us Whites are held to a higher standard?

You want to know what I am fed up with? I am fed up with all the crimes that are being committed by the baggy pants crowd in all inner city areas! I am fed up with all the entitlements, I am fed up with all the tax payer funded programs that EXCLUDE whites! I am sick and tired of people of color flipping the race card EVERYTIME they don't get their way. I am sick and tired of the Hypocrisy from people, and I use that word loosly, like jesse jackson and the loser sharpton. Want me to keep going??

I got robbed by three black guys who pointed a gun between my eyes. That was racism. Cops didn't do a thing.

Where is my rally?

I've gathered that you are trying to make some kind of insult, but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is.

Too dumb to make a coherent bit of snark. Truly, a new low.

"Spicies"??? Is that akin to cayenne or garam masala? Thank god for these articles. They have a certain ability to bring out the very best in our online community. Nothing like a supremacy agenda being put forward by those who are deficient in spelling and grammar, but not ignorance.

It is certainly a criminal act to point a gun at you. However, there must be more to your story because I'm not seeing how this was a racist act.
