Who cares who he has dinner with? All the ridiculous (conservative) commentators/voters hate him either because he's gay or because he's had dinner with a porn star, no less a gay porn star.
I realize that the FAD of WWJD is over, but I bet you and your pastors still use that mantra for other determinations in your lives, especially with your children. And, in this case, that would've been Jesus kickin' it with, yes, even a gay porn star. Jesus would've been drinking wine and smiling and listening to this gay porn star talk. Granted, Koering is no messiah, but neither are ANY ONE OF YOU. Get over yourselves, and leave your self-righteous, pharisaic views out of our American politics.

People like this senator is what wrong with the Conservative Movement. Hypocrite!
He is not a Leader in the Conservative Movement, But a rider on it.
People on both sides and in the middle should know who they are Really Voting for. He can dine with who ever he wants on the weekends, but don't roll down to the Capital Mon-Fri and tell us how Morale they are.
Trust is very Valuable!
Bingo. It's only news worthy because he's a passenger on the "party of family values" express. Work against gay issues by day and share the sheets with them at night. Hypocrite is right.

What the hell was the point of this blurb you goof balls. Im as straight as the day is long and conservative as well. But this is idiotic. Youll write story after story of racial and gender bias and how harmful it is but then utilize that same bias in an attempt to slander or chastise a politician who views do not coincide with your papers.
If this had been a Metro area, Dem or Lib Gay, Senator, you would have cared less. Hell I doubt anyone could have even named a Gay Porn star if you hadnt gave them a name.

Hilarious. The Republican Party is a walking punchline. It wouldn't be so funny, if everything they get caught doing is something they aalwaysoppose and campaign against (gays, abortions, drugs).

If Mr. Koering is going to be attacked, politically, attack his record. Don't hide behind the veil of faux, emotionally charged issues. The man is gay; he had dinner with a gay man, who also does porn. How does this affect your life or your rights? The real question is, given the choice, how would you affect the rights of Mr. Koering to have such a dinner, or, for that matter, even be gay? If you are part of the tea party movement, put your money where your mouth is and support freedom, else your just part of the old GOP--part of the problem.

Traditionally speaking, liberals want to control your body, and conservatives want to control your mind. Democrats want to control your wallet; republicans want to control your thought--religious thought and spirit. Thank god for the tea party movement, which is trying to rid the republican party of the neoconservatives and compassionate conservatives of the religious right. Thankfully, the new movement is geared towards a government with the sole purpose of protecting individual rights. What that doesn't include is forced religious action through legislation.

Good luck Mr. Koering. Because of who you are and what you've been through, I trust you to fight for my freedom more so than anyone else.

The President hang with a guy who put bombs in front of bldgs and we are being to harsh and judgemental. For 20 years he attend a church which boast its highly anti american, anti government views and we are simply told he does not prescribe to the veiws of that church. Hmmm? But dine with a porn star, "MY GOD" you must be the anti christ. the editor who let this story in needs to become one of the unemployed

Did this publication just turn into the National Enquire?...Who cares who eats with whom, if this is what you think it takes to sell your news paper I am becoming less of a fan of your publications. What happen to reporting real stories and not taking something and making one?

Are you suggesting that a gay man should not allowed to run on the Republican ticket?

Where were you when it became known that Democrat President Obama hung out with homegrown terrorists (William Ayers), and sat for 20 years listening to a racist, radical, hate-mongering preacher (Rev. Jeremiah Wright)?
Reporting on the story.

Honestly, you people have been screeching about this long enough. It was known and widely discussed before the election. The story was widely reported in what your sort, with your inimitable wit, conintue to call the "lamestream" media. We are still hearing about it, long after the election, long after most voters have decided it wasn't important enough to affect their votes. Your crowd continues to harp on it as if it were something new, worrying it like a dog who should have dropped that bone a long time ago.

It isn't new. Get over it. Everyone knows about it, and nothing is being hidden. Deal with the fact that your type are the only ones who care about it anymore.

"JACK"- I thgink your comment to some extent makes my point. Its not that they are "being caught" so much as no one seems to really care when it is a Dem or Lib. Semms to me the finger pointing comes from the Dems, gay and libs because we can but Republicans can.
Youy can be gay and still hold relatively conservitive veiws as you can be a woman, a minority and an immigrant. The republicans are not so much what the media and you make of them. Conservitives and republicans above all else just do not believe in general that ANYONES sexual preferrance be force down anothers throat, Forcing that person to accept or condone behavior in which they might not agree with. Some believe homosexuality is no less devient sexual behavior than beastiality or pedophilia but I believe that God will sort it out, not me , not you, not this paper.
It is the media that pits these opposing veiws with idiotic stories like this. Not the Dems, not the Libs, not the GOP, its the media.
Whether you are conservative or Lib you should write a post telling the author he is an idiot for allowing sexual prefferance

The real question is, who is the Judas that ratted him out?

And this isn't news, anybody that knew Paul when he first won election in 2002 knew what team he played for. And in 8 years it really hasn't impacted his ability to be an able legislator. Not sure why it would magically now.

And why is this a DFL plant? There is no way they are winning that seat, regardless of who is on the ticket.
