If you live in New York Mills, Lebanon, MO, its getting better! What does Biden have to do with this? I didn't see his name anywhere in the article? Maybe if Tpain wasn't trying to line up his run for President and was doing some states business he could have waved his magic wand and saved the jobs!
You have a decided lack of knowledge when it comes to how govt. operates.

All of my comments are made with sympathy to the Little Falls community. But until they change their leadership philosophy, they will remain a continually constricting entity. I have experienced this firsthand as a former resident.
I have to agree with you on all counts. I do not come from LF, but I do come froma a small town in MN. I too knew at the young age that as soon as I graduated I had to get out their. The small towns keep their "good old boy's" clubs going, and all they end up doing unfortunately is holding the town back instead of moving forward and making way for progress. Until they make changes it will continue to be the same for many generations-------leaving as soon as they graduate.

Senator Amy Klobuchar D-Mn Feb 7, 2009

&fe ature=related

Ms. KLOBUCHAR....Anyone in Minnesota can tell you that when it is 20 below, as it has been the last month, and your battery is dead and you need to get to work, your No. 1 priority is to get a jump-start right away, not stand around talking about it and debating and using the old ideas from the past.

That is what this economic recovery plan is about, a jump-start.

ADULTS plan ahead with maintenance and forethought (like an engine block heater)
instead of hoping on help from a stranger...

Well, that's what's going to happen. And the people suffering under government oppression, impoverishment, and crushing taxation? Anyone who complains will be called "racists". And everyone will just let the government off the hook, or they'll be investigated and taken into "protective custody".
Help me! I see men in black suit from the goverment in my bushes. they are trying to get me to join a union, buy a union made boat and smoke some more crack! We gotta gay black man in the whitehouse! The world in gonna end! My couch is shaking and on fire! Call my white meth dealer to get me out of this! This would have never happened under George Bush's watch! He would have sent all the boats over to Iraq filled with union school teachers, er I mean MN reserves. The Unions and teachers have turned me into a crack head and ruined the world!

WHY??? Why is Brunswick closing a trademark Crestliner facility in Little Falls? Yes, times are tough but closing permanently your manufacturing facilities to"reduce expenses" is tantamount to saying that the company is going downhill fast! Where is the business faith in the future?

Brunswick better get a future business game plan for its recovery or its demise its on the horizon!

This is a real tragedy for Little Falls.
Let's have some sympathy for these people.
The corporations will continue to do what will make them the most money with no regard for the loyal human lives that they are harming. That must not be rewarded.
The Obama administration wants to help small businesses to flourish and be able to hire so that regular people like these can live a decent life.
That is a good approach. Hopefully it will be passed and will help Little Falls to recover.
Hate to tell you this but the problem isn't the big companies, it's the buying public and the consumer demand for cheap products. Any company has to make a certain % profit to stay in business while growing. If they can't compete then they have to find ways to cut cost. That includes going over to automation to replace workers, cutting the work force and yes, out sourcing. Small businesses cannot compete against a large company unless they provide goods or services that the large corporations don't provide. So our current administration passes tax incentives for small businesses to hire new workers. This after being told by the business owners that if they had enough business that they would hire someone without the incentives, but without the increased business they would not be hiring anyone. Until the consumer starts buying more the economy is not going anywhere fast. It's not the president's job to that of any other politician to create jobs. They are not supposed to create jobs. They are responsible for making a business friendly environment that encourages job growth through increased sales. Things like OSHA and EPA drive up the cost of manufacturing a product. Minimum wage drives it up too. If there is a hike in minimum wage companies do one of three things. They A. raise the price of the product to keep making the profit margin they need therefore sparking inflation the eats up the new raise or B. reduce the size of the work force to reduce cost so they don't have to raise prices or C. outsource! So the politicians, in trying to buy back door votes, forced people into unemployment and or sparked inflation. But thats ok because when those out of work people run out of unemployment money they get paid welfare....another polite word for vote buying.
