It never amazes me that when a Moderate Republican (aka Liberal lite) RINO looses to a Conservative that the first thing they do is endorse the Liberal candidate. He has not done so yet. but "Koering told the Dispatch he wouldn't support Gazelka." It's only a matter of time before he does support the Liberal Democrat.

These RINO's always seem like they are nothing more than Democrat operatives that get elected as Republicans for the sole purpose of destroying the Republican party. OUST ALL THE RINO'S!

Well, we'll find out how the tiny tent option works for you all in the next decade. I mean, you do know that you need at least SOME moderate support to win elections, right?

To think that the Republican Party is made up of liberals only proves how disconnected this guy is. While there are centrists in the party, it is primarily made up of moderate right leaning conservatives.

His endorsement of the opposition is proof positive of his loyalty (or lack thereof) to his constituents. He was a wolf in sheeps clothing all along.

So long RINO, and don't let the door hit your backside too hard on the way out.

Standing for principle is one thing, checking to see which way the political wind is blowing (no pun intended), then running to the front of the group and hollering "follow me", is another.

It is far better to stand on principle and risk losing than to stand for anything and win as a shameless charlatan.

Didn't this Republican get the memo to stay in the closet? He'd have a ton of company in there.

You're talking to people who think disparaging education us cool. Don't expect their behavior to be grounded in reality.

Would it be too much to ask the PP to have a headline that is not salacious? Perhpas incumbent republican senator loses?

A headline you will never see:

"Straight, white legislator wins primary"...

Content type no different, yet it sounds awkward, huh?

Why is it necessary to define his sexual preference in a political article? That's ridiculous. Who cares.

Moderate republicans need to man it up and elect conservative republicans for a certain amount of years. The conservative republicans elected must bring our troops home and restore rights at home by eliminating Homeland Security, Patriot Acts and TSA to start. Then the reform on welfare, government employees, government contracts, monopolies, lawyers and all the rest can be enacted. Gay people better understand what is happening here today. A nation that was a republic, then became a democracy and now is becoming a police state blames groups for the problems. Do anyone think that gays can be blamed, among others?

Because it's so unusual for a gay person to hold a Republican politial office due to their gay-bias, or haven't you been reading the posts by your fellow conservatives?

This is only news now because it was news before when the press decided to report on his personal dating life. A follow up after the primary is a given. Some c-average reporter got a tingle up his leg when he found out a porn star was in Brainerd and couldn't resist.

This is only interesting to those who choose to categorize everyone. When he endorses the DFL candidate, we will see the true content of his character...

Since we're so interested in candidate's personal lives, how about an expose' on Mark Dayton? Drugs, Depression, Booze, Divorce are far more relavent to a voter than with whom a candidate chooses to have dinner.

If it wasn't mentioned in the news...how did you know about it? Did you read it in, oh I dunno, A NEWS STORY?

This is why there is a marketplace for media. Paper/source A can report what Paper/source B missed, and you can vote with your dollar.

For Republicans who actually believe in controlling spending and small government but aren't comfortable with psychos who want to legislate people's family lives (which is not something a small government should do, IMO), there's only one choice, anymore -

The Independence Party. What the GOP used to be like, before they went crazy.

I don't believe his sexual preference tripped up his re-election chances, it was locally entertaining the gay porn star. How is this different? What if he was obviously having dinner with a female stripper/hooker? Whether you are gay or straight, either scenario potentially offends moral people.
