This is another sad example of those who drink and drive and kill people.

I am for DWI patrols what find impared drivers before they get into an accident.

No--DWI patrols won't find all drunk drivers, but they help.

I am so sorry for your loss. we started praying as soon aas we heard. Did he have children? Why was he on the rode so late? I knew the other driver, and i am sosorry his active alcoholism took Henry's life. May the peace that passes all understanding be yours this day, and the days to come. Amen

I am in agreement, I tried to do what I could, I had called in to the local authorities and asked that they watch, I did not want anyone killed. But they kind of blew me off...and sadly I was not the only one who called but they did not seem to care.

What did you want them to watch?

There was a time I knew when he was going out to drive and should not have been out there, I begged him to not go out, I offered to drive, but he did not want to be a burden to anyone, so I called them, asked them to please watch for him and send him home. The police blew me off. I don't know if it would have helped in the end or not, but three months have passed and it still hurts to know these two men are gone! So there is always a what if, factor there. What if someone at the local department heard and actually did something, would these two men be here today?

Don't even try to put this on the police, the guy driving is the only one responsible.

DUH!! I know that! But when there are people and family close to the ones who have problems like this, it is hard to stand back and watch and do nothing! The fact is we tried! NO ONE wanted to see this happen!

Did you? Did you really try? You said you called the police. Did you take the keys away, no.
