I am trying to research an arrest that happened in Braidwood about a month ago; does anyone know where I can find these records?

Go to the Braidwood Police Department and get a copy of record.. It is public record.

I'm just trying to find the article online without having to drive down there. I have already spoken with the Police in Braidwood but I live far from there so I was going for the easy way and look it up online. So if you know of any small newspapers that would publish arrest records like a police blotter that would be SO helpful.

Try Kankakee Journal, they sometimes put Braidwood arrest in the newspaper. I know they do have a website, but I'm unsure of the name at the moment.

Go to the police blotter in the Joliet Herald News. You can search it and it should come up.

I THINK YOU CAN ALSO SIGN AN INFORMATION ACT AND FAX IT TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.

The police Blotter from Braidwood. Ha ha. It's always the same:
Drunk and disordly conduct, DUI's, domestic dispute, underage drinking. The occasional drug charge.
That's about it!

If you want a copy of the police report al you need is ten dollars. The only problem is, you would have had to have been a victim or a party of the arrest. Either the perspon who filed the complaint or the person who was arrested. Thats the only way they will let you have a copy. I tried the Freedom of Information act. They told me that was not applicapble to personal arrest records. I don't know why, but that was the answer they gave me.

THEY ONLY PUT THERE ARRESTS IN THE BRAIDWOOD JOURNAL AND SOMETIMES IN THE HERALD NEWS BUT NOT ALL OF THEM MAKE IT INTO THE PAPER. YOU COULD ALSO CONTACT THE STATES ATTORNEY, THEY SHOULD OF RECEIVED THE REPORT FROM THE ARREST

At least they were arrested. Is it just me or does it seem like alot of drinking goes on here? I never saw Braidwood as a party town but from reading these forums it looks like a rehab center would generate alot of money for the city. LOL

Seems to me people would rather them not be arrested. Either way....they complain. The police do the best they can. I think they do a wonderful job at enforcing the law.

My daughter goes to RCMS and she said that they actually have a police officer patrolling the halls there. Does anyone know if that's true? I find that very interesting! If there is, I think that's awesome- it would make some punk think twice if they wanted to deal drugs there.

yes it is true there is also one in the high school and it is evident police intervention in schools is becoming more and more imperative with the recent events at Virginia Tech. God Bless Them

There isnt one at the school regularly anymore. They do random locker searches every once in a while but it doesnt do much good. There is one at the middle school which seems kinda backwards to me.

That's not true, don't forget about Atom. Seems like he is the only one that does what he's supposed to do.
