....let me get this straight....the Good Table Restaraunt gets $100 per day fine for allowing truck drivers to park their trailers in its parking lot, and the Braidwood Building Inspector, Tony Santerelli, who lives on Bergera, gets to permanently park an old semi trailer in his yard. Why? Because it's on cinder bloccks? So it's a permanent struture? What the F are these hillbillies around here thinking?? The semi trailer/storage unit looks like total crap sitting in his yard. Why does he get special treatment???

He knows the right people. There are people on North walker who use old, I mean old semi trailers for storage. In this town you just have to know the right people to be able to do what you want. Look at the rule of no pole building, but Chris Patterson put a oversized 4 unit pole building where the old bishops greenhouse. I dont know who the 2 people at school and first know, but I also thought you werent allowed 2 story garages, but both of them built them,

It takes more than just votes, to get this corrupt town back in order.

Resident evil the house your talking about on First and School is mine and the City would not let me build a detached two story garage. There is no rule about having rooms over attached garages. Just look at most new two story homes they all have bones rooms over there garages. If you have a problem with the other one they want around with a petition and had the neighbors sign for it. We both did it the right way.

Chris patterson runs his business as well as rents the other spaces for other local business'. He does not live in that house, it is a rental. And the pole barn is not an eye sore. That lot is zoned for commercial business' as it was a green house. I would rather look at that pole barn than the piss yellow house or the half built garage on the corner of bergera and walker.

For starters, get your facts straight. Chris patterson doesnt run his business from the pole barn there. He rents those. He runs his business from the unit he built across from his house at the end of south walker.

so all the patterson trucks that I see parked in the barn are a figment of my imagination?? He put up the barn, rents the units out as well as the house that is there. The point was... Patterson obtained permits to build that permit as the lot is zoned for business. So Resident evil... you get your facts straight.

Because he was Sue the Mayors, political manager! That's why! And now he gets to play Building Inspector. I say, let's all do what we want to do on our properties. We bought the land, we pay taxes to the land and let's face it, Braidwood will NEVER (Andy G.) be another Naperville nor that town that you had to leave because of your juvenile delinquents actions.

We weren't permitted to build a two-story garage either. But it soon will be!

The building inspector lives on West Bergera. Drive by and take a look at his freak show trailer/storage shed. According to the dipsh*ts at city hall, it's OK because he has it on pillars. Puh-leeze! Have you ever seen a 'storage shed' parked on the shoulder or off ramp of an interstate?? A semi trailer is a semi trailer...just like a piece of crap building inspecteor is, well, a piece of crap building inspector!!

It's not just you. It sucks you bought your property and now are at the mercy of some lunatic to imporve it as you wish! He' a jerk to EVERYONE! He doesn't do any building inspections, because there haven't been any new buildings put up in Braidwood for almost a year! Word about this inspector has traveled to other towns/areas, and people go elsewhere. And while this moron that calls himself the building inspector is actually PROUD of the 'smack down' he's put on the people of Braidwood, the truth is he is killing any growth of our community. I drove through Wilmington and Coal City this week. They are thriving. There are few empty buildings, and the towns are alive. This town is depressing. We have no down town, nor will any of us see the plans our mayor, Sue Grygiel, pitched, ever marerialize. I'm sure the downtown will be a gravel lot for many years to come. It will remain that way, even when the economy picks up, because this building inspector will not issue permits. He likes to play little games with people. And there are several people I have spoken with, still waiting for permits. He said he's only part time and doesn't have time to issue them. People have been waiting for weeks because now he's dabbling in zoning issues.....hmmmmm....I wonder of his yard is zoned for semi trailer parking...even if he has painted the trailer silver and put it on concrete pillars...Tony Santerelli, the building inspector is crippling business and growth in this town. And since he's Sue's only supporter that I know of, she allows him to overstep his boundaries as inspector, harass hard working citizens and businesses in this town, and do everything but the job he was hired to do! We need to take our town back from these people in office. None of them care about the greater good of our community, and instead of fighting with each other on here, we should ALL get to the city council meeting tonight and voice our opinions! Let's oust this loser, and get a real inspector, who has all of our best interests at heart. And let's all hope the right person for the job is elected as Mayor of Braidwood in the next election. We cannot afford another mistake like Sue Grygiel.

I'm not defending this in any way, but the semi trailer was there before he purchased the property.

Thanks for that information. I appreiate it. But my point is that if one man forces everyone 'to go by the book' then, he should also follow his own rules. I think he has taken his job really out of context, and now he does EVERYTHING, including plumbing, code enforcing, zoning, and the list goes on....but he does NOTHING for building inspection. He's supposed to be checking for structural integrity, and making sure the job's done right. Not going on a witch hunt, and attempting to burn those he and they mayor don't personally like. He's not looking out for the greater good of the community, and neither is the mayor. I didn't know that was there already...he shoulda cleaned it up before he started harassing and singling out others in town. That's just not right.
