I done this for my nephew, When I done it you had to be four years ahead of the grade the student you were going to teach. Go to the BOE they will get you started! I personally don't think it's a good idea for kids to be homeschooled they miss out on a very important part of school! The socialization! Most of them end up not knowing how to get along with others well I strongly recommend you reconcider this! I have seen the outcome of SEVERAL homeschooled children.Just curious, Why do you want to take this route?

i just had a bad experience with my daughter in school.
not to mention school shootings, next year the school year changes to year round.
my daughter is grown now but when she was 12 she smoked pot at school tried to jump from the top floor of school and the police was called on her. i was not informed by the school a child at school told me a month later when she was mad at my daughter.i went and talked to the principle mis handy she informed me she did all the law required her to do.
when she was 12 or 13 she got on birth control at school i did not even know this until she went from a size 8 to size 11 then she told me and i made her stop. she went back to her original weight. so you can see i have a lot of concerns about sending another daughter to school.
also i know personally 4 that were home schooled and 2 are grown now they are all smart and kind respectful.not like most kids today.

my opinion they miss out on much more by going to school and learning about all the mean things in this world. and being around the wrong type of people before they have a chance to learn morals.
they are more influenced by their friends than their parents if you send them to school.
gay teachers, teachers that don't believe in god, teachers on drugs,
teachers that laugh at them for smoking cigs or pot.
this is the kind of things my daughter was around. shes a drug addict today. she did not learn this at home.

lack of home discipline the school is there for a child to learn they are not your babysitters. People like you blame everything on other people when you need to go look in the mirror at the real cause of the problem and I guarantee you are no saint and especially when you was in school

I am sure if your heathin was caught smoking pot she would have been expelled from school and charged with possession so don't hand me that line of bullshit as far as bc pills probably from a friend or friends mother. She had to be thinking about it or doing it to be taking them and the school don't issue them. That's proves what you say is bullshit. Try another lie and hope you raise this next one better

Its sad that you have these parents Wanting to homeschool when they don't have the education theirself to teach these kids. If a kid got caught with pot the parents would of been notified and the child expelled. School did NOT turn your daughter into a drug addict. I agree you should spend more time with your children and be aware of their surroundings at all time, BUT for Gods sake send them to school to get their education.
