My prayers go out to the families that were involved and to the owners of the restaurant. I have never met such nicer people and been to a cleaner place than Country Cottage. One time when i ate there, my son was sick (BEFORE WE GOT THERE!!!) but he requested to stop there to try to eat mashed potatoes, and the waitress and staff took such good care of him that when i left there, I knew it was a very Christian environment and i can't thank them enough. People, please believe that this was just a freak thing, and don't blaim them, cause this could happen anywhere at anytime. I know for a fact that these people DID NOT deliberately do anything to hurt anyone, and i hope and pray that they will open again soon. God Be With Each and Everyone.

That is so incredibly kind of you. I wish more people embodied your lovely spirit.:-) Thanks for helping us all realize that there are still great, decent people out there!

It is sad this families business has been ruined. How do we know that they didn't get a delivery of some recalled meat? The vendor may not have known and look all that can happen. Plus all the poor victims - this is another sad story!

Yes, they are very nice people. You would not meet nicer, Christian people and I'm sure they are devastated for all of the sick people. Their business has been ruined because of all this and it has not yet been determined where this originated anyway. I pray for the healing of all sick people and also the healing of the owners because I'm sure they are broken hearted about all of this. Plus what about all of those employees? What are they doing for jobs? My heart goes out to all of you and all the people in Locust Grove.

My husband and I ate at the CC during the time in question and we had no ill effects. We hope and pray the owners will reopen this fine resturant. There is just no other eating establishment in this area that is equal in any way to the Country Cottage.

What the heck is a christian environment? Does it have church pews instead of chairs? Alters instead of tables? Do they bless the food before serving it? If all those people got sick there and could have died, I think I'd try satan's place next time.

I suggest that you think about your remark. You need prayer. I don't even know why you would say such a thing. Apparently you are already dining at satan's table. But I want you to know that there is always room at God's table. All you have to do is ask. Believe in His Son and accept him in your heart as your Lord and Savior.

Please .. come on now. This is an open forum, and each other can say what they think and feel. I'm a Spiritualist and believe in God, but I understood what LHayes was expressing. What is it about the place that makes you think its a Christian inviroment? I've eaten at CC and yes the food is good and yes the employees are real nice to the customers there.

If the so call Christians here want to be an 'example' for others, then start acting like it. Do you beleive God called others names and tried to belittle them ?... I highly doubt it!.. Get a grip and start acting like the loving God you serve.

I look forward to the day CC gets to open back up. I look forward to eating there again.

How is calling someone "satans child" exemplifying a Christian attitude or environment? It is alright to disagree with someone without reverting to childish name calling. I am a Christian and I for one am appaled by your lack of a Christlike attitude. Maybe when you pray for him/her tonight you need to pray for yourself!

i used to eat there, but i will never again.... somebody wasn't doing there job with the sanitary and cleaning. off course they can't find the reasoning behind it, because they cleaned it up before the inspectors got there. thats the way things work. yes it is a comfy environment, but that place is never going to be the same ever again. sorry country cottage, they should be liable for all damages and hospital bills too....

It seems like there's alot more sympathy for the closed buffet than there is for the people who've had the rest of their lives affected because they made the mistake of eating out with their family. A 12 year old girl should never have suffered like she has and neither should the other children and grownups affected. Just ask the family of the young man from Pryor who died how torn up they are about not being able to drive to Locust and pig out in the buffet line. And yes, there are quite a few more quality places to eat in this area with food just as tasty. But I'm noticing alot more people shopping in the local grocery store to actually cook at home. God bless the families affected by this horrible bacteria.

I realize there are MANY MANY families that now have large medical bills because of this...so why are they only announcing one or 2 of the families that have accounts for people to donate to. personally, i think they should have one fund for EACH family or one fund and divvy the monies up between them.

Its sad the day all you can think of is the money and not of good will and health of those that are sick.

Its apparent that this is the only forum that you have read regarding CC and the outbreak. There have been outpouring concerns for the sick. I'm sure if they ask the family of the man who died which of whom was a christian he would not hold no ill will of the people who owned the restaurant only to find out what caused it and to stop it before it killed anybody else.
Yes there are other places in the Tulsa area that have good food but in my eyes none like CC's food and even with the outbreak we have not stopped going out to eat and wait anxiously for the restaurant to reopen to go there again. It can happen at any restaurant. I'm afraid if they do close Locust Grove will lose some revenue over it if you are trying to say that there are other restaurants in Locust Grove with tastier food? Where tell me. Mazzios? Yuck they have the most horrible pizza. Denny's? Way over priced for the quality and quantity of food. I think that is about it for that town. Folks in Locust Grove won't have much of a choice but go to other surrounding towns to eat. But really that is not the issue the issue is the sick getting out of the hospital and from what I have heard they are getting better just a long road ahead of them to get out of the hospital and I pray they all get better. I do also pray for the owners as well cause they are victims as well. It was a great restaurant, nice atmosphere and great food.

Maybe they are announcing the two families who do not have medical ins. The others may have medical ins.... I am just assuming.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Sagittarius

After all the excitement of the past few days you're longing for the chance to put your feet up and take life easy for a while. Ideally, you should bury your nose in a good book and be left alone until you resurface for a food transfusion. But you'll also enjoy chatting to someone you know very well and for whom you don't have to make a big effort, such as a close relative.
