If Our Goverment or We The People spent as much money and time on murder cases and missing children as was done with this trivial marijuana case involving Devin Fryar from Corinth VT. maybe the streets would be a safe place.
Marijuana should be legal and is less harmfull than liquor. What a shame our money and time is spent so foolishly. This is sickening having a loosing war on drugs when there are crimes to be solved but will probably never be solved as long as there is a war on Marijuana. How sickening blah.........

Devin is not a killer, and he wasn't selling crack. I agree with oh my's "leave us alone attitude" and belive that it's part of being FREE. What makes you think that selling pot is the same thing as being a murderous thief? And legalizing pot wouldn't increase a dealers business, YOUR the fool.

Thanks for the support guys,
Devin is doing just fine. The hardest part of all of this is that he has been taken away from his children and myself. I can't be mad at the police nor our goverment even though I do agree that this money could be spent else where but my husband did break a law and was judge in the system that we hope works for us all. I do agree that he is taking up space that could be used for the people selling heroine and coke at our local schools and playgrounds. I think we are simply going about the war on drugs all wrong but it will take time that we don't have for our officials to see it this way. Yes this whole case was based on an individual that was caught with a 1/2 pound of pot and was a coward and unwilling to accept the six months probation that he would have recieved. He had no children and doesn't have a widowed mother ill with cancer either. He didn't donate money to the local basesball and football teams when they were in need. He didn't buy lumber for a local person whos buisness burnt down so that he could do repairs. He didn't volunteer at food shelves to make sure the heavy lifting was done. He didn't coach sports or go to parent confrences he was what we think of as the typical low life drug dealer that should be in my husbands place. This is where we need to start looking yes my husband broke the law but he is a good person, a person that is missed greatly by his children and family as well as the community in which he lives. Things will be fine and I think that rather than put our efforts into bloggin where noone will ever read them we should make it known that there has to be some other way to fight this war and that there should be priorities to what we are fighting. Thanks again guys its nice to know there is someone out there that has the nerve to speak out.

I have known the whole Fryar clan for some time including the old man, Nick. That whole house is nothing but a "drug haven". There is more that just pot going through there. The whole family is involved in the trade.

If you mindless dopes (pun intended) don't think that pot leads to other harder drugs...YOU ARE WRONG. Druggies steal to get money for drugs, plain and simple. Pot, crack, heroin, meth...no diference. They steal from people that have worked for what they get. I don't think you would be singing the same tune if if someone broke into your house or car....or your kids house or car and stole things. What kink of message is he sending to his kids? I know...its ok to sell drugs and ruine someone elses life.

When is this war on drugs going to stop? When the courts get the balls to start sending a strong message to the scum bags that sell this crap, that we're not going to put up with it!

who ever wrote this quote is a loser who dosnt know anything. devin fryar would never kill anyone and to think he would for some weed money your "the fool". if he needed to supply his costumers so badly he would probably just grow his own weed before he would rob or kill anyone. so before you start talking crap you should know who and what you are talking about first. i think the government and police are wasting time and money on busting people like this who are just trying to live and take care of their family bust real criminals.the real criminals are the ones who kill and rape and horrible things like that not weed dealers. Anyway the person who wrote that pissed me off so i responded and i hope they read it.

As long as marijuana is worth more than gold and heroin more than uranium, we will continue to have people willing to kill each other; willing to kill police charged with fighting these useless wars; willing to kill children caught in the crossfire.

When any drug is prohibited, an underground market is immediately created and moreover because it becomes dangerous to produce & distribute, that drug's value is artificially increased.

When a rapist or robber is arrested, the number of rapes & robberies in that community goes down. But when a drug dealer is arrested, the number of drug sales doesn't diminish. All we are doing is creating job openings for hundreds more entreprenuers willing to take huge risks for the chance at even huger profits. Fighting the War on Drugs is just stirring the prohibition pot, and it costs 69 billion dollars each year to stir that pot.

To remove that profit motive we must end drug prohibition. When we ended alcohol prohibition in 1933 the next day Al Capone and his smuggling buddies were out of business. The same thing would happen to the drug lords & terrorists who, thanks to today's prohibition, sell 500 billion dollars worth of illicit drugs each year to our children around the world.

The membership of LEAP believe that to save lives and lower the rates of disease, crime & addiction, as well as to conserve tax dollars, we must end drug prohibition. A system of regulation & control is far more etical & effective than one of prohibition.

LEAP has a membership of over 10,000 like minded Criminal Justice Professionals; all former drug warriors including police, parole, probation & corrections officers, judges & prosecutors, prison wardens, DEA and FBI agents. We have a bureau of more than 100 LEAP speakers.

What can LEAP do for you? Call us, or visit our website.

who ever wrote this crap needs to shut there mouth they dont know what the hell they are talking about. nick is dead and talking crap about a dead person is wrong so you better watch what you say. nick and the whole fryar family has done nothing bad to any one ever. this person does not know the fryars if he did he would not say stupid things. they are good people who only help other people. all of them are good people so this person should tell me there name and ill talk to them face to face cause i cant say what i want to them on here. i know the entire fryar family and none of them have ever robbed or stolen crap from anyone and they never will. hard drugs are something that has never been there so you should know that you are making crap up. there are not enough words to say how i feel about the person who wrote this. i know if you did know the fryar family you would only say nice things about them if you really knew them. im to upset to say anything thing else. i can understand kinda if you want to talk crap about devin cause he did get in trouble even know what he did was not wrong but talking about all the other people who have done nothing wrong is messed up. the person you should really not talk crap about is nick fryar who was a great man and died 8 years ago almost and has nothing to do with what is happening now so shut your mouth. now im done and one day i hope to find out who wrote this crap they wont like what i have to say to them. weed hurts no one and i know for a fact no one at that house has ever hurt anyone either if you think differently prove it i would like to see what you are talking about.

how about this. nick fryar, his wife, and his family saved my life countless times. as a lost and confused teenaged they gave me love, shelter, food, unconditionally. they never once sat me down and forced/convinced me to use drugs OF ANY KIND. they never talked down to me or let me feel any less than i really was. i know i wasnt the only child then, and i know they have helped countless children since then. they ALL are the kind of family that once they knew who you were would take the shirt off their backs for you. they made sure i was clean, fed, in school every day, eileen checked my home work, nick found me a job, and i was NOT family. i always had a place to rest my head. they did this for years, they still show me love every time i see or speak to them. my family who was clean as a whistle never showed me such love. they all remained active in the community and still do to this day. shame on you for talking any kind of smack about a man who has passed, where's your compassion, what kind of ethics, just how were you raised to speak so disrespectfully? you want to make such a big deal about the charges devin faced and i cant visit my home town with out seeing or hearing about all who have fallen to crack or have 3 or 4 DWIs! why dont you people get up off your fat, lazy, depressed, unemployed asses and make it a better place to live? if you are so worried about children doing drugs, try leading by a positive example, try something simple like talking to them. i am who i am, a strong, career oriented, HAPPY (unless i read horrible things like this on the g.d. internet), going some place with my life, female... and a huge part of that is thanks to the fryar family! god bless you all ( THE FRYARS) and this horrible times you have been through and are now facing. know that someone out there loves you and is thankful for the strength you have shown and installed in me/my heart! thank you!

Then he should have thought about what he was doing to his family, sick mother and all. If he actually HAD a JOB and went to work like the rest of us, he never would have been away from his family now would he?
