Unemployment rates rose in 44 US states in July

WASHINGTON ó Unemployment rates rose in 44 U.S. states in July, the most states to show a monthly increase in more than three years and a reflection of weak hiring nationwide.

The Labor Department said Friday that unemployment rates fell in only two states and were unchanged in four.

President Obama says, "The path we offer may be harder, but it leads to a better place."

But how much more debt will this country have to accumulate before we reach that better place?

A better and peaceful world is possible ó a world where people and nature come before profits.

Thatís socialism.

Thatís our vision.

We are the Communist Party USA.

THE RACE CARD: The Last Card to be played by Democratic Party for Votes

American citizens are getting tired of Democrats and their voters using the race card every day when they donít get their way.

Everything is ok fine when they are allowed to run willy nilly with no checks and balances in place to stop them.

When they canít get one thing passed or when someone doesnít agree with them regarding policy, they resort to utilizing the race card to shut the opposition up or make the other side look evil.

Is the GOP Sabotaging Recovery?

The elephant in the room - is it the bad economy, or the party of elephants who are trying to keep it that way? There is a lot of evidence that the GOP is doing all it can to undermine job creation and economic recovery to make Obama a one-term president. In this week's newsletter we'll show you how they're doing it and some ways to help turn things around.

Problems & Solutions

There is a lot of bad news for working people these days: only 69,000 jobs were added in May, while the unemployment rate inched higher to 8.2%; US median net worth is down by nearly 40 percent; the number of long-term unemployed swelled last month from 5.1 million to 5.4 million... the list goes on and on.

Why is the Great Recession lasting longer than any other crisis since the Great Depression? Many are starting to believe the Republicans deliberately crashed the US economy - a poll by Public Policy Polling shows 49% believe Republicans are deliberately hamstringing efforts to resuscitate the economy in order to bolster their chances of defeating President Barack Obama. And starting last year in Wisconsin, and continuing last week with Romney, Republicans are attacking public workers and rejecting the economic answer to the recession - public sector jobs.

With people like Mitt Rominov (Romney) and Ryan, we see that bribery, corruption, and favoritism are the standing vices of the rich; and, that we get asses for lions.

I don't understand why democrats pull the race card when they were the ones who didn't want to let their slaves out of their chains.

It took a republican president to do that. But, I guess people tend to forget history.

Road to socialism
With the foregoing in mind, let me outline the main stages of struggle as our new program envisions them.

The first is the struggle against right wing extremism. This is not a new policy; it goes back to the election of Ronald Reagan in 1980. At that point and since then it became evident that the main obstacle to social progress remains rightwing extremism and its corporate backers. They cast a reactionary shadow over the whole political process then and now.

The election of Barack Obama was a blow to the right, but subsequent events have demonstrated that it wasn't a decisive blow.

The right still retains considerable power, and initiative to frame the debate and disrupt the legislative and political agenda.

Its overarching goal this year is to regain control of all three branches of the federal government. How dangerous is that? In my view it would set the stage for a period of extreme rightwing onslaught.

If you don't believe me take a glimpse at Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ohio where rightwing Republicans took control of the levers of power in 2010 and then ruthlessly rolled back rights, eliminated social programs and attacked the labor movement.

Obamanomics Has Failed Dismally and Bernanke Canít Save It

Friday, 14 Sep 2012 07:58 PM
By Larry Kudlow

Nothing like this has ever been used by our nationís central bank.

The Fedís balance sheet, which has ballooned from around $800 billion to $2.5 trillion under Bernanke, will go to $3 trillion, or $4 trillion, or who knows how high.

But hereís the rub: More money doesnít necessarily mean more growth.

More Fed money wonít increase after-tax rewards for risk, entrepreneurship, business hiring, and hard work.

Keeping more of what you earn after-tax is the true spark of economic growth.

Not the Fed.
