Although this has nothing to do with Sunny Hills in particular, it is useful information for any one who may be facing foreclosure on their home.
-The Florida Bar and Florida Legal Services, Inc. has partnered to create a toll free hot line for the more than 77000 homeowners in trouble. You can call (866) 607-2187 After a few initial questions to ensure accurate placement, the caller is referred to a free attorney who will then negotiate with the lender on the owners behalf to work out a solution to prevent foreclosure.- The article states that more than 10000 attorneys have volunteered their time. Hoping that you are not in that situation, but if you are, it is good to know that there is free help out there. Jim Palmer ERA Chipola Realty Greenhead Branch http://erachipola.com/jimpalmer |

This, too, it not related to SH but good info to pass along. I read this in the current AARP bulletin: Don't leave your wallet in your locked car and assume it is safe: A new scam recently reports that locked cars have been "entered" without any signs of been broken into, and the thiefs take just one or two credit cards. The victim may not notice any thing unusual or the missing cards until much later, and of course, we all know the ending:

That is very good advice mazo. I also saw that article. It was talking about how people were nervous about leaving wallets, purses, etc. in lockers at the gym or places like that. The thieves know this and target those kind of places. Thanks for helping to share valuable information.

Hey Jim Palmer
I was talking to a lady today who lives in Chipley and she has a neighbor who is with the Chamber of Commerce in the area and he said they still plan on putting a smaller animal theme park in Bonifay. Could she possibly be correct? Have you heard anything? I told her I thought that deal was completely over with and she said that isn't the case. |

The Blue Dolphin web site is talking of some kind of venture in the area. I have not seen any concrete proof though that it is happening, or that they even have the means to do any thing. The info on the site is impressive though. Of course, we have been through this before with all talk and no substance.

Thanks Jim, I figured you may know something but I agree that it is probably all talk and no action. I did look at the web site and it does look very interesting but secretive. |

Ignorance is bliss...or so the sorry story goes. Already people are getting ready to shoot themselves in the temple or somewhere painful and you had to lay it bare on the table..."more homes for sale in SH than occupied". I hate you man....with all the crap people going through!
At the bare minimum, we all can be grateful though. At least they did not get to privatize social security as my dear mother would be eating possum stew for breakfast and supper. Those nasty little buggers. Where the hell is our gov anyway, ole "Chain Gang Charlie"...he and his new missus. Dang!!! and I thought he was gay. |
You, sir or madam, flat out lie or posted this statement out of ignorance. |
|
I have been cussed, I've been lied to, and put up with a lot of crap from idiots posting on this web site. I tried to help people by telling them the one thing they obviously don't want. The truth. There are a lot of empty houses in SH and property selling at as little as 25% of what people paid for it. But there are not more empty houses than lived in, not by a far cry. No need to exaggerate, things are bad, and will get worse, but in 2-3 years they will improve, but never again will the easy money be available, the reckless, irresponsible and greedy investors and lenders did this and were spurred on by cries of 'it will only go up' then they went to the oil market and now they are pulling out of it, I just hope they don't change their minds. The only thing people LIVING in SH saw the last few years was their taxes go up..... their 'value' is back where it was, and in some cases less. |

Excuse me. Hope you responded in this manner to my post in error. I said the "observer" lied in his post or is just ignorant. Homes in Sunny Hills are just like everywhere else, some are empty, some are occupied and for sale, some are rented, some are owner occupied, but NO WAY are there "more homes for sale in SH than are occupied." You should have replied to observer's post, not mine.

No, I was just adding my thoughts to what you said, mainly, that most people don't want the truth, whole or otherwise.
