Teen accused of having sex with 12-year-old near church

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office says they arrested a 17-year-old Bradenton teen for having sex with a 12-year-old girl.

I agree with everyone that says this boys life is going to be ruined over WILLING sexual encounters. There should be diffent titles for breaking the so called statuatory rape law and for MOLESTING children. Two TOTALLY different offenses but lumped together. My brother almost had to become a registered offender because he was 18 and his girlfriend was 16. Girls do grow up way to fast now a days but that's life and everyone needs to adjust to that fact and protect both parties involved. No more innocent little girls half the time. Man I can remember still playing with Cabbage Patch kids at 16 but that was quite a long time ago. Things have changed and the sooner all realize that the better of all will be!
