Just another pie in the sky project that is going to flop, and when it flops, it will flop big. Those people running that city are so screwed up, with no common sense at all. The city is just about bankrupt and they are trying to do a monstrosity project for that no so good area.

Unfortunately they could build Disneyland there and it is still El Monte--with a downtown shopping district which will offer the new residents nothing.

The four previous posters are completely retarded.

Stop complaining about how much you hate el monte and start contributing to things that will make el monte better. That or move to la puente or baldwin park.

How about they install and clean and maintain decent restrooms for the thousands of bus riders?!?!

Those restrooms rival anything terrible anywhere.

SOMEONE needs to do SOMETHING to improve the debacle that IS the "El Monte Station"!
Anyone who has ever caught a bus there can see what a disaster it is!

You are right. Part of the problem is that those making decisions have probably never taken public transportation or visit the Station other than for photo ops.

What does taking public transportation have to do with the ability to make sound decisions? I think the problem is with residents who are willing to accept second best.

What's the difference between El Monte, La Puente, or Baldwin Park? How about Azusa? Very little, if any.

It is a joke right? Only psychopaths would do this now. It is like the three stooges meet the twilight zone, and you know it is a bad program but you can't change the channel, 100 million dollars, we should have that forensic audit, before any more dog and pony shows by anyone in development. Garner and Macias are right.
