After the White House meeting this morning, House Speaker John Boehner said he would have the House vote next week to fund the full government - what's known as a "continuing resolution."

Boehner: "I did lay out that the House is going to move a continuing resolution next week to fund the government past March 27th, and I'm hopeful that we won't have to deal with the threat of a government shutdown while we're dealing with the sequester at the same time. The House will act next week, and I hope the Senate will follow suit."

While I will admit that the republicans have turned into a party for the super rich, the democrats think they need to control almost every aspect of our lives. Do you think they know what's best for you and yours?
Yes the republicans are against tax hikes on the rich, but the democrats want to spend us into oblivion.
George Bush may have started the financial fail ball rolling, but Obama gave it a great big push. He guaranteed to cut the deficit in half in his first four years. Instead, he almost doubled it. He said he could get unemployment down to under 5%. It is still to my knowledge over 7%.
The sequester is because the republicans don't want fair taxes for the super rich. The democrats refuse to be fiscally responsible.
Just about the only thing the congress and senate have agreed on lately, was to give themselves a raise this year.
I'm leaning to the libertarian party. They can't muck it up any worse than the other two.

Republicans may be for the rich but who in the hell provides the jobs? The poor! I doubt it! You want better security and no homeland drones then vote Rep. You want more drones for this country rather than the Middle East then Obama is your man. Myself I believe in this country and Obama doesn't represent it...Btw Who gave him the right to invade Syria and Lybia. Bush had congress! Obama acts on his own will. Un-American!

This still pisses me off! Go to 1984 on Wikipedia and see how many states Ronald Reagan carried. I'll answer without you wasting your precious time. All but 1. Walter Mondule carried his home state and no more. Reagan was a true leader who won the cold war and brought us out of Jimmy Peanuts Carter's Recession. Facts are facts. You may not like it, but the greatest president was Ronald Reagan.

I may be a Libertarian but I know the truth when I lived through it and remember the greatness that was that man. Dems and Repub's alike should kiss his butt for saving this country.

Doc I don't get you. You speak like a Conservative and really brag on Reagan to which you are correct. What I don't get is why are you a LIbertarian when you sound so Conservative.

A simple answer. We haven't had change since Ronald Reagan and I doubt in our lifetimes will we ever. More partisanship and politics as usual is what got us in this mess. Thank Obama though for doing nothing. That what he is best at. Well besides forgetting Congress and invading other countries, something at least Bush never did. Oh and get use to loving those drones in our skies. Something else we can thank Obama for.

I'm going to have to agree with the other guy. Reading your recent posts here, you sound about 1/5 Libertarian and 4/5 Republican. Of course, I'm sure you're more familiar with your overall political leanings than the readers here, but if we're getting a good sample, you probably aren't Libertarian, but Republican with a couple of Libertarian leanings.
