I heard that at one time the guards at the shacks were armed with MP40's but no ammo because the nuke plant didn't want to pay the extra expense (training, ammo, etc). What the hell is that about? This is the day and age of terrorism and we're still cutting corners. Good Job Exelon!!

When the national guard was out there they were armed with 50 cal cannons with no ammo because they didn't want some part time warrior wanna be accidentally blowing up an innocent civilian. I can assume you now that every guard out there now is fully armed.

And you know this for a fact because you were in the Guard and stationed at the plant? I don't think so, you know how I know that because anyone in the guard, army or any armed forces that used a 50 caliber machine gun would never call it a cannon. You may be correct in that the ammo belt was not loaded into the machine gun but I guarantee it was in the ammo boxes right next to it, not to mention that the automatic rifles they had shouldered were most definitely loaded.

P.S. Those part time wanna be warriors you refer to have and are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan under real fire so show some respect you ignoramous.

I never claimed to be in the National Guard. But obviously you were there and know everything there is to know about everything. You can be technical with me or you could just take the information and process it. Excuse me for not being the uber warrior that you are. Either way, this is not information they try to keep quiet, anyone that has applied to work at the plant in security gets told this.

I was not in the guard I spent 8 years in the nuclear navy and have been at dozens of nuclear power plants and nuclear facilities around the country. I am not an "uber" warrior what ever the hell that is nor to I think or pretend to no everything. One thing I have learned to do is to investigate and determine for myself fact from fiction If I can not do that I may have an opinion but it is just that, I do not parade it around as fact. You prove my point by making statements like this "Either way, this is not information they try to keep quiet, anyone that has applied to work at the plant in security gets told this" So you were not in the guard but you applied for a security job there and that is how you know this because every person in security gets told this. Let me ask you a question do they tell any of the other plant workers this or is it just the security groups secret?
