Jim King sent a recording by phone last night. Yes it is true. 2 or 3 cases I think they said. They also said that, "if your child has a fever, the fever needs to be gone for 24 hours without the help of medication, before the child should be sent back to school."

Does the nurse have a flax seed wheat germ shake to prevent h1n1?

If you have questions call your children's primary care physician. h1n1 is serious. However, it's being sensationalized. It's another strand of the flu. It hits harder because it's a new strand, not because it's exceptionally deadly. Wash your hands, stay hydrated. If your kids run a fever, keep them home.

My mother in law keeps telling me I should have my son vaccinated for the flu. Does the flu shot help with the H1N1 virus? Also, my son is a healthy 6yr old. He is not a sickly kid, just your typical viruses at their peaks. Appreciate any input.

I am positive that the school nurse has some sort of healthy shake/smoothie to prevent this. Please (try) to contact her at any of the schools at (any) given time. She travels from school to school but she (available) at any time.

UGH.

Had my child at Dr. today and to answer your question the H1N1 has a special shot. I didn't like the side affect an finding a H1N1 shot will be hard as most places are out from what I was told to day. The Dr. told me the normal push fluids and watch for high fever but as long as your child doesn't have any breathing trouble or heart trouble they should be find. But if you still don't know call your Dr. and see what they say since they know your child!
Please tell me

Call any Dr.'s office or Walgreens and they should be able to read them to you as the list is long... one that stuck out to me is it can effect a childs nervous system. 720 AM and 780 AM Radio had some of the side effect in the news today. Don't know if they are repeating them still?
I heard about them while at Dr. office and Walgreens while getting meds today. While at Walgreens heard some say that it hasn't be proven to work yet to keep you from getting H1N1 BUT THAT WAS JUST LISTENING TO PEOPLE WAITING ON MEDS TOO. That didn't come from Dr.!!
Walgreen won't be getting more shot until November sometime!

Another problem outside of the side effects of the H1N1 flu shot is that it has not been tested long enough to know how it may affect you in the long run. Most injections have years of testing and research.I won't be giving it to my family as I have weighed the current information on the flu shot verses the flu in an otherwise healthy person and we will risk the flu.

THIS IS TRUE FOLKS!! Thanks for bring this to our attention, as I hadn't heard this but looked it up an found what you said to be true. The side effect were bad enough for me but this made me feel good about not getting it.
Also Dr. did say it was true that it is very expensive to be tested to see if you have H1N1 so some that are saying they have it might not really have been tested for it? From what I understand and I may be wrong but the ones in real danger are the ones with other illness before getting the H1N1?

Hi please tell me, cough and high 103+fever.

this is a topix site where a 24 yr old has/had swine flu.

http://www.topix.com/forum/city/stockton-ca/T...

I keep waiting to hear from her.

I called my doc and a clinic to see if they have the h1n1 and they do not. On one of the forms I read a 5mo died. I hope the H1S1 vaccine gets here soon. It makes me mad, they knew it was coming. take care

Geez, didn't even think about that. I just wanted a fix all but it's true. Years ago, mom's took ??forgot what it was but later in life the girls got breast cancer and they were able to trace it back to what the mom got while pg. Sooo, maybe I'll just chance the S. flu.

Thanks for the information~

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Pisces

Whether the excesses of the past few days are catching up with you or you're feeling drained for other reasons, you need as much rest as possible today. Once you get tired, your defenses will be down and you'll start to fret about whatever is currently nagging away at the back of your mind. You're also concerned about the welfare of a certain person, which doesn't help.
