Then & Now: 41 Burghardt St., Worcester
Now a development of newer homes from the early years of the 21st century, this block of Burghardt Street was once the home of the Worcester Homing Pigeon Club. The pleasant residential neighborhood off Grafton Street was once the home of the pigeon racing club, until its owners sold the land and building in the early years of this century.

This brings back so many great childhood memories, my great grandfather Joe Curran was well known for his homing pigeon and sold a lot of pigeon grain , I remember people coming from all over to see my great grandfather, , as a young girl I had entered many of my pigeons in the shows there and won many trophy as well, thank you for posting this , will forever cherish those memories

I remember when I was growing up, Pat Legor had racing pigeons and kept them in a coop at Sargeant Court at the end of Benefit Street...
