FEL-TECH Hammer Division is certainly a company that keeps their word. Recently I had a hydraulic hammer at a well known company located in Massachusetts. This company told me that they wanted $23,000 to repair my hydraulic hammer. I contacted FEL-TECH and they said they would inspect my hammer at no charge just to see if the other estimate was correct. I took the hammer from the other company and to my surprise, the power cell was never taken apart by this other company. HOW COULD THEY GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE??? In a rage, I took the hammer to FEL-TECH on my trailer. After the inspection, I was informed that the rebuild would only be $11,450.00. My hammer has been working each day for 4 months on a large project with no issues. FEL-TECH even called me every two weeks just to see if my hammer was operating as expected. They saved me over $11,000.00 and even made follow up calls after the sale. When I asked them why the other company wanted so much money to repair my hammer and they never even took it apart, FEL-TECH told me that their inspection services on hydraulic hammers are checked by two separate technicians and this is a way to double check each opinion on the repair. They even sent me pictures of the hammer after it was taken apart. They went on to tell me in some cases, there may be some companies that will tell you that they will install new parts just to earn a very nice profit. But the new parts are never installed. FEL-TECH could have charged me $15,000.00 or $20,000 and I would have paid it because I was so mad at this other company but, they were very honest and kept me informed every day with phone updates and pictures. If you are a contractor and want a fair deal I would call FEL-TECH. I can assure you that you will be very happy.

We sent our NPK GH 18 hammer to FEL-TECH hammer Division in December of 2013. We were told by another company in New Jersey that we required over 25,000.00 in parts.
I spoke to the owner of FEL-TECH Hammer Division and he explained why we were told this and why we were told that we needed a new piston. He then sent me a picture of the piston in my NPK hammer and it was in perfect condition. FEL-TECH told me that I did need a seal kit and the bushings and that was it. He explained that a seal in a valve had failed and this is what cause the hammer to stop working.
I was amazed that another company would tell me I required a new piston when I did not need one. The owner explained that this was a common thing that was done with smaller companies in order to gain profits without doing the work or buying the parts.
FEL-TECH Hammer division saved me $22,000.00 because I did not need a piston for my NPK hammer. I have since sent them six hammers from our fleet and I must say, I have never been treated like I have been treated by my past rebuild shop. thank you guys. Thanks to all the rebuild techs in the shop. I hope you enjoyed the gift cards that I sent you. you guys certainly deserve them. See you on our next rebuild !!
P.S. That test bench you operate is amazing. thank you for the video.

It was a true pleasure speaking with you. I had heard about FEL-TECH Hammer Division and like most companies habits are very hard to break. When I told you what my hammer was doing there was no question that you could have told me to send the hammer to your shop and put it in your test center. I was shocked to find that you spent over an hour on the phone with my mechanic and solved the issue on the phone. Later that evening I was speaking with my foreman and he told me that the phone call was sent to your cell phone and you had actually pulled over on the side of the road and you were on your cell phone all this time doing this.
Frank the economy is different as you know and the cost that you saved me was used for our payroll that week.
I had actually spoke with two competitors of yours prior to this and each sales person told me that I would have to ship the hammer to them and they figured because the hammer was a 12,000 ft lb hammer that the repair could be in excess of $15,000.00. So, with that said,
Frank, thank you very much for your service. Also please tell your manager that his service was greatly appreciated. I am still shocked that this was done and I saved this amount of money. You know in the future, our hammer work will belong to FEL-TECH Hammer Division
