Murdered Warren Lifeguard

Fall 2002, around the time a hunter first discovered what was later identified as a murdered
lifeguard's bathing suit, a series of collect phone calls was made from the prisoner phones at
the Worcester County House of Correction to the Worcester-area home of a convicted rapist.
The rapist, apparently in turn, called the home phone of a leading member of a search and
rescue group affiliated with the search for the murder victim. The victim's parents had endorsed
the search and rescue group on a publicly released video.
Any chance a prisoner was relaying information through the rapist regarding the possible
location of the victim's body? The rapist's maternal grandparents, for what it's worth, lived in West Warren.
