OK! At least in my experience listening to LT Col Foley he is very good at impressing with his past experience as a State Trooper but I haven't heard any real detail in what he plans to do if he becomes Sheriff. He also recently served on the Governor's Council which is the last word on life time appointments to our state judiciary. CAN he point to at any time that he voted against any of the current judges we have on the court. I constantly hear in the news about this crazy ruling by one of our judges or how this person was the victim of a crime due to some judge letting the criminal off easy.
SO my question for our prospective Sheriff would be what are his SPECIFIC plans as Sheriff. OR did he simply find that his medical pension + the $26 K a year Governor's Council salary were no longer enough and now wanted a raise.
I have a few friends that are on disability and are restricted on what the can earn and still receive benifits. I know most would be very happy to be able to earn an additional $93K a year and still receive benifits. ONE OR THE OTHER not both!

He worked for his pension, which has already been taxed, he had a heart problem which FORCED him to retire early, there for making him eligiable for his pension. How is he cheating the system, if anyone has cheated the system it would be Bove, I know I worked with the hack for 15 years, he has a free ride the whole time, cushy desk jobs, promotions all because daddy was Flynns chief deputy and campaign manager.
What a blow boy you are. He is receiving a DISABILITY. This DOES NOT come out of his pension. Stop defending this man! You said he would be making a few thousand more?, how about $93000.00 more. I know you probably want to be a trooper, but this is ridiculous. Wake up and tell the truth! Wait till you see the Telegram Sunday. Shows over.

Sorry you have no clue what your talking about. And no I don't want to be a trooper, I worked 15 years at the jail I would be ready for retirement in a couple of years if I was. So you say his Disability doesn't come from his pension, then that means that on top of the $112k he gets from disability, he can eventually get another 100K from his real pension when he is eligible (thats just an estimate after 30 years of SP service) then his sheriffs salary which will only add to his pension. Your an idiot, of course its part of his pension.

Scotty better pray he wins. The first thing Foley will do when he wins in "retire" Scott who got into the job and has been promoted only because of his daddy, Alphonse, who was Mike Flynn's gofer. Even Glodis hates Bove. Foley will clean house of Bove and all his supporters at the jail who have kicked in 1/3 of Bove's war chest. Foley is no saint either. I have read the nonsense over and over again about the disability pension and still can't figure it out. Either he can work or he can't. He left the state police because of job stress but the sheriff's office is stress-free? C'mon now. Fess up Tommy and just tell everyone you're in it for the bucks.

And what to do with Lew, the incumbent politician? We don't need another Glodis.

To compare Lew Evangelidis to Glodis is laughable! Glodis is a disgusting human being who will use any method in the world to advance himself and his power. Strong arming, threats, etc. Lew is straightforward, trustworthy, loyal and has integrity...traits quite lacking in this current sheriff who wouldn't know the truth if it slapped him across the face. And now he's running for AUDITOR?? You've got to be kidding me!!!!

Perhaps it's just career politicians I'm sour on, Lew is a politician in every sense I'm afraid.

No that would mean he is a fan of Howie Carr. Not a admirer of Tom Foley.
