They treat inmates like animals, maybe if they weren't such a**** the inmates won't be so hostile towards them.

Are you serious? You think they should get treated good? They are in there for a reason, they deserve to get treated like $hit.

My hats off to you Dan.Thank you for this article. All we ever hear about is the poor inmates. You know those ones who committed the crimes. And I know you could only reveal a very small example of the things you have to deal with at work. What I can't understand is why the inmates have any complaints about being there. They commit crimes and they are "rewarded" with a roof over their head, three meals a day and the kicker all medical expenses for free. Where else in this country can you get that? Maybe all the hard working people should rethink how they are doing it.

Good! Treat them like animals!! My tax money is supporting law breakers in prison...not a 5 star hotel.

Once again the lefties show what morons they are. Oh, the poor inmates -- they're mis-understood! They're fine, upstanding citizens, and they were on the verge of turning their lives around. " If only all of the rest of us were taxed more to pay for more social programs, there'd be less people committing crimes. LOL!

in respond to ,Lt. Danny Keohan --county jail west boylston ....its your choice to work in the corrections field you stated the inmates complaints obout food ,,they forget where they are ..it works both ways .out of any professional job police, corrections officers.and state police ..have the highest rate of divorce..if its stress orjob related issues .you make the choice to be their .as it goes with sayingto the criminal ,they make the choices to do crimes ..my job industry is being invaded by illegals, and legal imigrants...people choose to hire them to pay less wages on the books and under the table ... the cost of living has gone up drastically .taxes.. fees...gas etc ..construction is a hard job ,any home owner knows this .how can i compete for work when oters are hiring these guys to work for them,,life on lifes terms ..

ask the wife of an officer who gets neglected its the mentality of a co.. who makes them feel superior to the less fortunateweather it is an inmate or the person they pass on the street who is home leess..the word follows them building a false sense of being . police being called officer or sargent or what ever the rank is that added to ther name . they are people like you and i.. not above... but they act like they are off duty and on . most of them abuse their power . i am a tax payer too id rather see my money go to feed hungry children ..not prisons food .but the prison that intergrates prisoners into society with a job and education does better;;
