these kids dont know how to react other than playing puter games, are they still allowed to play sandlot football or base ball or is that too dangerouse for them? We had bulling back in my early teens but there where other avenues to deal with it and not this PC crap thats being served to the children. Football usually took the energy right out of you let alone giving the person that picked on you a shot or two, but then after the game we all hung out and that was that.

let the kids be kids, like when we were younger, these parents must not have a job or anything else to do, if their at meetings complaining about their kids not able to take care of themselves , what makes you hurt, will make you stronger, let the kids learn to defend themselves, and not have the parents baby their kids, remember when they go into the service, their mothers won't be there, or maybe they will go to boot camp, the way the mothers are acting now...

Yes, bullying has been around and the kids should be able to fend for themselves. New is cyber-bullying out of sight from parents and teachers that's really devastating.

I still remember every joke made of me. I was socially awkward and grew up poor in Muhlenberg Township. Kids were horrible to me - horrible nicknames. I clearly remember two teachers who took part. I could never wear anything that was acceptable. I actually thought I'd never be anything and would be alone my whole life. Fortunately I found my husband and made my life worthwhile. I still see those smug kids but they have no power over me anymore. They can all kiss you know what. Oh, by the way, I'm 54 and still feel the pain. Teach your children better!
On another note I worked with a nice young mom who confided to me that when she rode the school bus she endured the same treatment. During her high school years she was labeled gay. She wasn't - she was just plain. She still hurts too and her son is in college.
For those of you who think it's okay to continuously bully, you need to thank the Lord that your child isn't on the receiving end.

Wilbur....maybe you should have read the article on a more detailed news source....The Pottstown Mercury....If you would have bothered ,you would have seen that a lot of these children have some form of learning disability. You wouldn't bully the star quarterback, but a student with special needs is okay? Not everyone can stand up for themselves,it's every persons responsibility to make sure that bullies are reported, and dealt with promptly.A bully is someone who has no self esteem and they are the true cowards in life.Kids joke and say cruel things from time to time, but constant bulling is a disgrace. So in closing wilbur..noy all kids go into the service but all deserve respect....NO MATTER WHAT !!!!!
