Boyertown Area School District’s Dog and Pony Show
Attention ALL Boyertown Area School District School Board Members!
You are facing State of Pennsylvania mandated cuts from the TOP affecting your budget. Please receive and accept that profound message because they are necessary if we are to have any kind of economic survival. It is serious!
At your most recent Finance Committee Meeting, you had an organized group of people begging you to scrape the bottom of the barrel further by raising the tax rate upon all of the residents of your district. Unfortunately, the good folks at the bottom of the barrel, the tax paying residents, are NO better equipped to satisfy your demands than the State of Pennsylvania; therefore, you really are in a pickle of a situation; unfortunately, YOU, the PAID administrators of The Boyertown Area School District, do not even have a recommendation that you can support as admitted by you.
Apparently, the Boyertown Area School District chooses to entertain a “Dog and Pony Show” rather than recognizing REALITY by proposing necessary cuts.
Other school districts in Pennsylvania are making the necessary cuts, not because they want to, but because they recognize the gravity of the present economic situation. Surely, the Boyertown Area School District has the combined intellect to come to the same conclusion.
