I remember hearing the "presidential dog" would be an adopted dog from a rescue...not from a puppy mill. I can hear it now, "Obama goes back on another presidential promise!" I bet you won't hear about this one on the news.

Maybe because the puppy was given to the Obama CHILDREN as a gift.

When the president announced the girls had decided on this breed of dog, I did a little research because I had never heard of one before ... so it is very possible that the Obama's looked for a rescue dog, but couldn't find the breed they wanted. And they, just like you and I, have every right to get any breed they wish!

So, a puppy has entered the White House!

Wonderful, at last we see something that has changed, the only thing that has since the election.

Well, we have seen more money getting spent on the wars that were supposed to stop. More on gas that was supposed to come down, more on groceries, more on health care, more on autos, and more on the pet projects that were supposed to have not been allowed to happen.

So, where is all the change we were promised? Gone, just like all the hot air the politicinas before him have spouted out with. No change, no difference, the poor get poorer and the rich get richer and those in between pay all the bills.

Change, HA HA!

One of their daughters is allergic to dogs. The breed they got is supposed to be one of the least likely to cause allergic reactions. The Obamas made a donation to the Washington DC Humane Society when they got the dog.

just like everything else obama promised. and we wondered why he was trying to keep it so quiet. after all, a rescue dog would have made him look really kind but since he lied, they kept it hush hush.

With your attitude it's surprising you don't attract all the negative energy in the universe. Or maybe you are! Negativity rubs off on everything around you. How about avoiding topix for awhile? I don't want any to rub off on me.

The puppy was a gift to the Obama children from Senator Ted Kennnedy. The Obamas have promised to make a sizeable donation to the American Humane Society.
